Armor Enchantment Auras

I have a Soulforged Enchantment in my armor and I am horribly sick of the Aura it constantly displays. Is it just me or does anyone else want to turn the aura off? I like the fact that I can change the skin of my armor and everything but I can't hardly see my armor with that stupid purple glow!!

    *raises hand* I do.

Speaking of which, several players have already proposed suggestions to disable enchant and shirt/pant visuals which might make the character look uncool.

I would like to see a new system which can transmute weapon/armor enchantments to other enchantment glows, but that's just too much to ask for at the moment.

The thing that really bothers me about it is that I bought the nightmare dye set and I LOVE how my CW looks with it, but I can't see it because of the purple glow. Every time I wanna see my gear I have to unequip my Soulforged Enchant which costs me 2g 50s. That is BS imo. It shouldn't cost me anything to see my armor visuals. If they could just make it like the helms where you can disable the visual of the enchant, I would be most pleased.

I'd like to see that and have my **** claimed mask show through with my armor. You know, so I'm not forced to only use it as a bandanna shirtless peg-legged pirate if I want to see it.

Really hard to play a cleric fighting for the forces of light and hope when your torso smolders with the dark fires of the netherworld. Had bought dyes to get as white and gold-garbed as possible.. then when I got this, I decided to go in black, rather than to look like I ran willy nilly through the mulberry patch in white linen. I get the purpose of these, but I'd like to see these aura's only activate in combat, if we can't be given the choice to turn it off completely. And it is not just SoulForged. Holy Avenger weapon enchant is ridiculous looking. To me, the Briar and Bark look silly too. I also think it's bad that if the aura is going to be there, it only covers a specific area. It tends to spread beyond the armor on some pieces. It's a very legitimate complaint, and the devs have acknowledged it as such.

I'm glad they know about it at least. Now if they would only fix it :)

If I had the ability to turn my Soulforged animation off (or change its colors or animation), I would definitely slot it back. I used an Elven Battle to replace it for the meantime, since I really can't stand it when the black smoke covers the transmutes you worked hard on. This also forced me to dye the primary portions of my white armor to black just to better match the appearance of Soulforged.

I'm also hoping that we'll get the ability to disable the enchantment visual effects in the near future. Hopefully we can do it for weapons as well.

Panderus already said he wants this added at some point but it isn't on the schedule yet -

This is something we are tracking but do not currently have scheduled to be done. Seeing a wedding dress be torn to shreds by ice shards was one that made me laugh and grimace a little when I saw it. Bloodtheft is probably worse on that particular outfit though...

i DONT LIKE THIS IDEA ( of transmuting effects ) i am not big fan of auras also but at least i know what kind of enchant my opponent is using in pvp.

after they will let us transmute visual effects it will become kinda meh since i will be atacking someone with for egzample bloodtheft efect AND BUM soulforged

    Good point, forgot about that.

Just wanted to have that Holy Avenger glow on the sword instead of cheesy Vorpal's.

OK, call me crazy but even without the animation I can tell if someone has soulforge, its really easy. I kill them and if they immediately pop back up with some extra hp....guess what, they have soulforge. Doesn't matter if I can see the animation or not since there is no time span between their hp being at 0 and them rezzing. So I just fight till they go down and if they dont immediately pop back up I know they don't have soulforge.

So there you go, an easy way to dispel all the "I gotta know what enchant they have" myths.

    Pretty much my thinking, too.

Plus it's PvP. Not having a soulforged is more surprising...

not necessarily there's a difference between knowing they have soulforge and if they don't if they have it then you can just knock them on the ground or prone before they can escape and then fully kill them and if you did that and they don't have soulforge ... congrats you just wasted an encounter power

I really like the effect of the lower ranked vorpal aura. Once it hits 'greater' though it no longer appeals. Very cheesy indeed.

Good ideas, also please turn off the noise the CW shield makes, its the only reason I no longer use it.

it was discussed many times. such changes should not affect pvp matches.
