I like this game but i have a few points to make:
1.Enemies draw aggro when you come close to them and attack you.You cannot outrun them and have no option but to engage. There should have been a fleeing mechanic like FF12 because i am just on my way to the quest and i dont want to kill hundreds of enemies on my way.Its tedious.
2.I am lvl 24 GF and still haven't earned 5 gold to buy my 1st mount so travelling from quest to npc to quest is tedious.
3.The graphics and the setting are nice and the story while thin is ok i guess. The quests are so far interesting but it seems to be getting more boring at later levels.
4.Even though am levelling up at a decent rate i do not feel more powerful than i was at lvl 1 as enemies have more HP so it negates that.
5.The 5vs5 pvp is boring and i suck at pvp anyways so i avoid it.The Skirmishes and dungeons can be fun the the group players dont talk at all so it feels i am grouping up not with other players but with zombies instead.
5.The combat system is fun and some of the foundry quests are genuinely good especially those horror themed ones.
6.Since am new to the genre am confused by Auction House and enchantment/enchancement systems/skill trees/feats/etc and other stuff.
7.Inventory management is a pain as the inventory slots are too low and more inventory space costs money or lots of grinding for AD
8.Overall the community is not good with lots of spammers in chat and no one helping out when asked for help in chat.
9.But overall its still a decent game and am only lvl 24 GF with cleric comapnion and 25 hrs played so there is still a lot to do so my opinion is not that important just my first impressions of the game.
Sorry to necro an old thread but the stupid rules that you cannot create a new thread as a new member even though its been a week since i made an account.

Hey welcome to Neverwinter and thanks for the feedback!
First, I appreciate how you wanted to find an existing thread but it really is best to create a new thread rather than bump threads that haven't been posted on in over 30 days. As this is an MMO a lot of things change and MMORPG's review from May, while extremely positive, is completely different than what it would be now.
4.Even though am levelling up at a decent rate i do not feel more powerful than i was at lvl 1 as enemies have more HP so it negates that.
Lower levels are in a learning curb. You get stronger but the game becomes more challenging as you level up. This is about the norm for every game that has come out in quite a while now. Players start with just a handful of different concerns and as they level new mechanics and challenges are introduced that make the game more, not less, challenging as they progress.
5.The 5vs5 pvp is boring and i suck at pvp anyways so i avoid it.The Skirmishes and dungeons can be fun the the group players dont talk at all so it feels i am grouping up not with other players but with zombies instead.
Yeah. I hate that I am saying this, I really do, but likely the best thing you can do is go guild shopping. Pugs, especially at lower levels, remain very quiet. If you have any suggestions for changing player behavior we're all ears but guilds work wonders for now.
7.Inventory management is a pain as the inventory slots are too low and more inventory space costs money or lots of grinding for AD
Unfortunately, welcome to free to play. You don't need more slots. You want more slots. Thus inventory slots are a perfect way to fund free to play games and is a perfect pay for convenience item which is really not paying for power in any way. All of the true content in the game is free and the servers have to be funded somehow.
8.Overall the community is not good with lots of spammers in chat and no one helping out when asked for help in chat.
I can certainly understant your feelings on that one. But also understand that the community is made up of people that are from all shapes and sizes. And as always one rotten apple spoils the bunch. Most of the players I assume you would get along with are probably quiet and most certainly aren't looking at Zone Chat. In fact I recommend you turn that off.
In a game such as this the general population can always seem bad but there are plenty of great people throughout the world. The thing is they aren't mixing with the vocal crowd, they are playing with each other in parties or via guilds. I think once you meet one or two people in the game you will find that it will have a domino effect. This is just how things are, especially in newer MMO's.
If you have any other questions, comments or just need some advice feel free to PM me.

lvl 24 GF isnt the most exciting char to play, they are Tanks against the big monsters in the end, but are slow in dealing out the damage - and they put me to sleep when I play them! The Ranger and Mage chars are more fun imo. I have three lvl 60 chars, and Im still learning how to play this game. My next char is going to be the thief- it sure looks fun to play.
If you looking for help, do what I did and head to the Moonstone Mask. I found a number of helpful people there and you dont have to deal with all the spam like you do in a big city zone. You might even find a guild to join, I did!
There is a quest in the neverdeath graveyard that has an adventures pack as a reward. This will increase your backpacks slots a little. If you need more just buy a greater bag of holding for that char. I dont think you need it tho. In time you'll be a master at sorting your bag just like the rest of us are! lol
If you can afford it, I highly recommend buying a purple mount. I bought me a Worg for my Half-Orc Ranger and man do I think its worth it! First you can run past most monster groups without being dismounted. Plus, your purple mount will be free at the zen market for ALL of your other chars once they are lvl 20 and higher! Horses are to slow, you might be able to out run some monsters on a horse, but you do have to battle them far to often. The other plus of the purple mount is they are faster then a horse and you can complete many of the run-around, go-there, then-go-here quests, much quicker then riding a horse. Also if you get the right mount, they can add to the story of your char - - - if your into RP.
Oh ya, try crafting. Its pretty easy to do and from what I've been told, you can make some really awesome items!
It's usually easier to get the AD and buy a horse on the Auction House than it is to get the 5 gold. Just go to the AH and buy one. At the moment they're going for around 2300 AD, which you can easily get through invoking and/or running daily quests for Rhix, the kobold between the AH and the market.

Next can clarify a few things for you:

Ask any specific questions about that on the forums. That's what the community is here for.
