Did a mistake and I forgot to slot Combat superiority during the tests and this resulted in a 15% less dmg than expected on the preview.
Live
Preview (I also had the feat Reinforced Sourge so you should reduce the dmg by another 5%)

Yuck. I don't PvP, which I am guessing is the purpose for this change?
But I like FS because it's a basic directional AoE that does better than average damage. I could care less about the prone/knock effect myself- that part of it is almost annoying, as I then have to go clean up. If what you are saying happens on the live server, I guess I have to figure out what I'm going to use in its place.. it will have become almost a waste of an encounter slot.
Rhyon Cawdorian GWF | Opa Loka TR | Cormac Argentus III DC | Annika Thornblade GF | Aerys Skydark HR | Bartin Findlor TR | Aellia Baalthrall CW | Lucan Hawkmoon CW | Opa Brahk GWF | Korzbyrk DC | Den Kruk GWF | Jherek Skarsin CW |
Roland Mac Sheonin GF | Tarron Direheart SW |
I can't confirm that. Ran a quick test in which FS hit for ~4665 on live vs. 3586 on the test shard. That's pretty much the 25% decrease. Based on my experience tooltips are very shaky and I would only rely on the combat log data.

Well I won't -like- it, but I could -accept- what j0shi82 is saying without whining too much about it. XD

Did the 25% damage reduction to GWFs affect GFs as well?
Mindflayer - Exodus
Daria - Dwarf Sentinel GWF (mistaken for Halfling a lot)
Karia (aka "The Pug") - Human Combat HR
Kayd - Human Conqueror GF - Retired

I think this isn't so bad, at least if you do any PvE. GF is relgated to what? enforced threat (cap 5), frontline surge (cap 3), and cleave/aggrivating (small AOE). It's good for PvE, but in PvP it's a bit of a nerf.
As someone who does some CW/TR in PvP, it is too common to be the one stun and dead situation. My guess is they are trying address this.
overall, i don't think it's bad, PvP nerf, PvE buff, both of which are needed, but only a little bit.
Personally since i play both GWF ( Iron Vanguard ) and GF i am relay impressed with the *Nerf* i can now hit 5 targets opposed to 3 and the damage difference isn't much at all, Thank you cryptic lovely choice to do 25% less damage but 2 more targets i can hit
