Is it possible to level strictly through Foundry or is EXP rewards too low?

The story in the game is amazing but I've yet to find my perfect match as far as classes go so I've been deleting my 2nd character and rerolling other classes. I'm getting really bored of the same questline though and the story that was originally amazing is now getting tedious. Is it possible to efficiently level (read as: on pace with main story EXP rewards) using Foundry?

Yes, you can. But no, it is not as efficient.

Questing has always been and probably will always be faster levelling than via Foundry, even during Foundry Hour. This is mainly due to how quickly you can complete and turn in multiple quests. Foundry you are limited to completing all the way through, as well as kill XP being naturally low throughout the game.

It is entirely possible but it is a fair amount slower to level.

However, even being a fair amount slower it is by no means slow. Slow in comparison but it is still faster to level up purely through Foundry than basically any other MMO. :p

One thing not mentioned... leveling up through the Cryptic quest line there is a strong chance to out-level yourself (in terms on the quest line curve). I have a couple characters that have out-levelled too quickly (they are just AD miners for now, I don't actually bother playing them now and will delete them when I'm ready to play another).

Remember you get XP on quests, kills, invoking, crafting... it's crazy. I have a GF that I stopped playing at level 20. He's now at level 48 - ONLY through Invoking. Sheesh!

Mixing-in a lot of Foundry (exclusively or not) helps keep your leveling balance... well, balanced. I highly recommend a good dose of Foundry for everyone (except the power-players who want to zerg to level cap quickly as possible, of course) :)

It used to be fairly quick(still not as quick as the questline unless you did XP farms) to foundry powerlevel. I believe they did set a limit on XP)relative to your current level)/hr available through foundry a while back though.

because people used to make a well full of huge ogres that could not attack back so all you had to do was nuke them away, win, loot, get your reward and repeat till the end of days... well, actually not that long, only a couple of hours. And ding! 60.

Yes, because of the abuse of those farm type foundries. There is an xp/time cap. If you earn to much xp at once or over a certain period of time. The system simply cuts off your xp gain.

This had the effect nerfing all foundries, farm type or legit, and slowed foundry leveling to a crawl.

However, it was changed sometime back. That featured foundries became excempt from that limitation. Making featured foundries far more viable.

one thing i've not seen mentioned:

it is HIGHLY advantageous to at least do the Storyline quests through Neverdeath, in order to get your 2 free Inventory Bags

And the method this company used to "fix" this was to throttle xp gain instead of fixing it so something like that just couldn't be done. Instead of maintaining a proper risk-vs-reward ratio, they just....cut the nose off to spite the face. ( So to speak.)

This is the main thing that made me stop playing this game, and it is a very common theme of how they implement/fix things in their three games and I, for one find it despicable. It reeks of poor judgement and lack of good business sense and etiquette.
    I'm unhappy and I can't say why.
