I'm just learning the last boss in MC and could use some pointers....
Would Astral shield, divine glow, healing word, brand of sun astral seal, foresight, divine fortune, Hammer of Fate, Hallowed ground feated be a good set up. I'm , full heal spec 13k gs, full miracle healer set, etc etc.
To me it seems like the fight requires very high dps and focus to even have a change, hence the divine glow and brand of sun in there.
Also, is this how the mechanics go?
GF tanks dragon
Valindra chick flies down every so often ---must focus fire, else someone gets choked and a portal spawns
If said portal isnt burned down super fast, too many elites spawn causing serious trouble n possible wipe
Can her choke be healed through?-I was not able to last night even with soothing light & divine HW

Personally I'd save my Divinity for support purposes unless playing redundant DC. To maximize Divine Glow's effectiveness, you need not only to use Divinity, but to hit both the player(s) and the target in the same splat, which is going to be difficult in that fight.
The fight is also not truly a DPS race; Fulminorax can be punched for as long as necessary, and dispatching Valindra isn't difficult if people pay attention to her spawn cycle. Also helps if the person with dragon aggro pulls him away from Valindra and any portals she might get away with summoning.
Additionally, unless/until the devs change this, any CW with a single point in Maelstrom (or, I believe, a GWF with Slam?) can instantly cause Valindra to despawn, making her appearances quite trivial.
Finally, yes, you can heal through her choke. It does progressively higher damage the longer she's allowed to stay, so she does need to be dropped at some point relatively soon after she begins choking. Placing an Astral Shield under the victim and dropping Divine Healing Words as needed will give quite a bit of added room for error. Just as the DPS should conserve their AP and be mindful of encounter cooldowns in this fight, the DC needs to have AP and pips ready to go (healing as needed during choke phase, Hallowed Ground during portal phase; Punishing Light can add to team DPS to get her down during this phase as well).
You only need Astral Shield and Healing Word to be honest. The 3rd slot can be just debuff.
And if you have really good group. You only need Astral shield or even full debuff.
This player is just learning to do MC for the first time and doesn't appear to be going in with really good groups. Trying to play debuffer under those circumstances isn't likely to work well :P
keep up a daily if someone is getting choked
divine hw, AS, and then an astral can keep them up long enough for your team, you can even toss in an FF
try bringing a gwf or cw along with maelstrom or avalanche (not sure if this is correct) and it immediately interrupts valindra
GL!
thx for replies. I think it wasnt so much my set up, as it was the fact that valindra wasnt be focused down, nor were portals in time.
Actually, I'm betting this fight would not be bad at all and would have been easy to heal through if everyone else would have did their job on the portals.
