INT TR..is really worth it?

As from topic, is really worth dropping str/dex/cha in favor of int, building character from scratch to maximize int to reduce CD of encounters? Do permastealth (WK or MI) needs int build to be effective or simply adding recovery stat to gear is enough?

Perma stealth is still used just not as much people are more aware of it and look for it. It is still effective in certain situations. I guess the better question is what are you building for are you after solo group pve pvp? Int and Rec help w/ the cool downs

Hello; based on the initial perma-stealth build by x3lade, you need ~25% cooldown reduction to get the rotation working. I don't know if this number is still viable, since I'm just leveling a TR, but lets just assume it does:
25% cooldown reduction without any boost from attributes is ~3800 Recovery. That's quite a lot so if you're not rich enough to have R8+ enchantments, you most likely won't be able to get also high Crit / ArP and / or other stats.

So I would say: Basically you can do it with just Recovery, but the trade-off (25% cooldown reduction without INT, but therefore less Crit, Arp, ...) is something to keep in mind.

Another thing to keep in mind is that all stat rolls (excluding 1) will vary in INT by 1-2 points. This means if you didn't roll max INT or put your "+2" racial bonus into INT, than you are only going to be 3-4 points INT less than someone who rolled max INT if you chose to do one of your "+4" stats into INT. Hence, 3-4% less than a max INT build.

Other than that though, recovery or INT is generally only really good for stealth builds/move setups to reduce cooldowns in order to stay sheathed longer. The only time I would add add it when you are not using a stealth focused build/move setup is when you have started surpassing your general caps on arm pen, crit, and regen.

Another thing to keep in mind is that people are building more to counter stealth builds now. Tons of the more experienced TRs, especially stealth based TRs, use bilethorn enchantment now. This drains your stealth very fast even if you have tenacious concealment. You also need to watch out for burning enchantments sometimes, especially if you run into a CW that can get the damage over time skill on you in addition to a damage over time weapon enchant.

On top of this, with the new Lantern of Revelation, you need to be careful because every 2-3 minutes someone could unlock a window where they can see and target you while stealthed. This is not such a big problem though as long as you can keep a bit of distance when you see the artifact activate.

Just some things to keep in mind if you are looking at a stealth based build. Overall though it is still effective in PvP. You just need to be careful playing it because people know how to counter it now.

So basically permastealth is not an "instant-win" anymore 'cause there are a lot of counters. With that in mind, i don't know if reroll character to build up INT from creation is worth it...you know, reduce dmg to achieve something which basically anyone expect. Also, pvping i've seen that sacrificing IS for ITC (so with ITC, BaS ans SS) makes unstealthed time a lot more "comfortable". With AP gain, CoS and GC damage shouldn't be that bad!

EDIT: my base INT is 10, so i can achieve 16 INT (17 with campfire buff). Just wondering about a simple respec to all stat in INT and CON...this, paired with regen and recovery, should increase survivability...maybe on a GC based stealth build.

Also, i don't know any other type of build than stealth ones xD

17 Int will be fine, with decent recovery and skulkers you'll be able to stay stealth for a nice duration. You'll probably find that you get bored and want to use Lashing Blade for big crits so you cant be perma stealthed all the time.

i use BaS, Lashing Blade and Shadow Strike and this allows me to be stealthed for as long as i need to with 1600recov and 17int whilst dishing out nice burst.

Executioner builds that try to one shot with Lashing blade by sacrificing recov for ARpen but with the new Tenacity skill being introduced im not sure how Big crits will workout
