  I am having same issue, cant get to the loading screen sense I updated the patch.
  If you let it just stay for a while and see what happens it eventually poops this up...
  
  "Fatal Error: Unable to initialize on-demand patching and connect to Patch Server: Connection was idle for to long"
  
  Really hope this is a quick fix they can do...cause multiple weeks of no game = uninstall.

  My son is having this problem as well. Though the error message varies. I spent 4 hours trying to get the game to work on his laptop the other day before I gave up. I submitted a ton of bug reports, tinkered with the settings and everything else I could think of. It started a patch or two before the winter events began. He is not a happy camper about it either.

  5 days later and still not able to play....tried changing password and replacing the launcher which has just made the problem worse: hanging at "unable to update launcher". And no replies to support tickets either.

  I cannot even log in to Neverwinter. I get to the log in screen and input my username and password and it refuses to do anything.
  
  Update.. Just got it to do something and got error # 103....no clue what that is, but it at least is something new.
