We'll be performing server maintenance tomorrow at 7:00 AM PST. The expected downtime is about 2 hours, but this time could be extended due to unforeseen circumstances.

Patch notes available here.

When is maintenance for you? Click here to find out.

Thanks,

Dwight

Update 1: (7:10 AM PST) Maintenance has begun. Patch Notes Added.
Update 2: (7:32 AM PST) There is some confusion about the maintenance starting during the final hours of the Winter Event. The Event will still be available after maintenance until 10 AM.
Update 3: (8:03 AM PST) Maintenance has completed. That was fast! Welcome back to Neverwinter.

WHAT HAPPENED TO WINTER FESTIVAL RUNNING UNTIL 10:00amPST?

Did I miss something? It was stated that Winter Festival will run to Jan9 at 10:00amPST (http://nw.perfectworld.com/news/?p=1065631). Yet Shard Maintenance will begin 3 hours! before the end of Winter Festival.

    What's the story?

Considering that this maintenance will eat up the last few hours of the event, and that there have been a lot of hiccups with it (crashes in the races early on, the Seismic Shot bug rendering Monsters on Ice unplayable for a lot of people, and so on), is there any chance that the event might be extended another day?

Maintenance is ALWAYS run at that time on thursdays no matter what is going on at the time. It is so if anything goes wrong, it is still early their time so they have a full work day to deal with anything that happened.

yes that is standard downtime for many months but I hope they fix the bugged delve box in epic t.o.i and the issues that cause lag in malabog every 1 I play with there has to adjust the graphics to play there and i'm sure there's more issues out there like ppl getting stuck inside foundary's if they actually fix this stuff I will be amazed because the general attitude I get is that players don't have faith even though most agree its a very fun game so enjoy the standard downtime and pray for a patch that does things for the game ...lord know's its needed

I fully appreciate the time of day (for them) for maintenance. Been there myself.

I suppose this means that Winter Festival effectively ends at 7amPST rather than the announced 10amPST. No? Or will there be a 2 hour extension? (Seems to me events could be scheduled better wrt maintenance windows.)

I'm sure it'll be hard to find an empty fishing hole those last few hours. :(

Let's see how many folks that rock can hold in the final moments........

Not to mention the last time to do any Simril crafting until (possibly) next Winter Festival. I'm going after as many Citrines as I can manage. RP is always useful I figure.

And a Stress Test is always fun.

Wonder what it would look like with several thousand folks all shooting off fireworks at the same time, say 5 minutes to 'close'? Think the shards would handle it?

Will the WInter event be over when maintenance is over?

Won't be able to get my last star for the mimic chest if that is so :(

I wonder about the winter event too. The in-game timer told me I would have an hour after I get home from work to collect the last rewards before it ends, and I was planning to do just that. Now I won't make it before the maintainance. =(

If the maintenance takes only two hours as scheduled, it -should- be done with one hour of the event left remaining.

Maintenance doesn't start or end events. They start/end at the designated time, whether or not there is maintenance. When the servers come back up, assuming they come up on time (no catastrophes that keep the server down past the end of event time) the even will still be going on and will turn off at 1pm (eastern time: 10am server time) on schedule.

I updated the forums just now to answer this question, but just in-case anyone misses that. The Event should still be available until 10 AM PST. Assuming maintenance only takes a few hours, you should still have about an hour of playtime left with the Winter Event.

    Thanks,

    Dwight

Just to ask, is there any chance of the big bugs being fixed rather than this cosmetic stuff?

Like the Epic Idris dungeon reward chest that won't open, Quests that can't be turned in. Group finder that plonks you in already cleared dungeons etc etc etc. The list is quite long.

Epic dungeon everything is still broken :P (bosses not resetting after a wipe, adds spawning after boss is dead, etc.) but I hope now that the holidays are over they will start fixing all the major gamebreaking bugs.
