Follow the Axe Trail

I have followed those darn axes to the edge of the waterfall which at this point I'm ready to jump off it. I can't find a ruby encased in ice anywhere. I find 3 mithral things and loads of mobs. Seriously, what am I missing?

    All I can remember is that it's by the captive dwarves or whatever. You have to go along the wall its hidden a bit.

    The way i remember finding it is go to where the dwarf captives are, there's a waterfall not too far ahead. Walk to the waterfall and then look towards the dwarfs. To the right you should be able to see massive icicles against a wall, that's where it is.
    Common sense is hard to come by around here it seems..

    You should just go 'look' on youtube or google. it's a 30 second video, shows you exactly where to go.

    There's nothing wrong with asking for help here. Some of us actually don't mind helping out. That's what community is all about. Although it's hard to see that these days with how toxic game forums have become.

    I think I've found the damned thing, but for some reason the game won't let me select it or acknowledge it's presence. I've tried positioning myself and the cursor all over that chunk o' ice, but it doesn't even acknowledge that it's any different from the terrain.
