hello to all i have been asking around what the cap is for the crit for the hunter ranger class. i have been doing alot of testing and cant seem to figure it out.
from what i was told the crit cap is listed below so please feel free to correct.

crit soft cap 1,600 crit strike seems to do nice amount of damage but less crit chance?
crit soft cap 2,200 crit strike? tested dont see much of a diff
crit soft cap 3,000 crit strike tested see more crits but seem's to be same damage
crit soft cap 3,200 crit strike tested more crits seems to bounce between low/med damge
crit hard cap 4,000 crit strike tested alot of crits seems to do fare amount but still seems low.

if anyone who does know what the cap is or knows where the critical strike should be for an HR please post and help out.

There are 2 crit stats; Critical Chance and Critical Severity. The Critical from gear only affects critical chance. This is why you don't see more damage from crits just more crits. HRs have the same soft crit cap as everyone else, because its based purely on the math of how critical chance is calculated from critical.

Up to 2.5k its fairly linear. You still get good gains up to 3k, but from 3k to 4k you don't gain 5% of crit.

So you should aim to have between 3000 and 3500 crit for maximum return on your investment.

If you are Archery Spec with corrcting aim I'd recommend settling for the 3k mark, otherwise push for the 3.5k mark.

thanks. 3,000-3,500 seems about right and should work perfect with a g-vorp enchant.
