Should I even buy glory gear?

I have 2 60's, a CW and a DC. The DC glory set turns me off in many ways, the CW one is ok but I lose pretty much all crit switching to it which I don't like.

So, the question is should I bother? Does anyone buy their classes glory gear? Or should I just suffer through a long grind for 24k and get the artifact?

In my opinion there's no need, if you like those stats that much, just farm Gauntlgrym, usually it yields an upgraded version of the glory pvp set.
I'd rather save the glory for Artifact and Companion first.

For me the PVP set is usually a good set to get that 8300+ gearscore to get into Teir 2 dungeons with the rest of my guild. As a set, its really not all that great besdies an intermidiary set before you get the GG, High Viz, Miracle healer, etc sets. However if you PVP a lot you can spend your glory on those items and then salvage them for rough Astral diamonds

So yeah, you can get some rough AD out of it and it can help you get a higher GS easily till you get other sets. Thats really it though

I do but I lvl my characters through PvP. So I have all the glory prior to 60. With the artifact now there, id just save the glory for that; and farm GG for the t2 gear.

There is a thread somewhere that has some screenshots of glory gear with a new stat on called Stat Resilience , in a certain other popular MMO the pvp gear has Resilience stacked on it to make it better to wear pvp gear in pvp environments so maybe at some point in the future that is what the Neverwinter developers are planning for the glory and GG pvp sets because yeah at the moment the T1 glory sets aren't really very good and the T2 GG pvp gear is only okayish.

As a CW I was using PvE gear for awhile and I found my survivability to be too low. I’ll freely admit I need some more experience though. Rogues were a particular problem as I was constantly getting one shotted. See: http://nw-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?568181-Looking-for-Tactical-Advice-on-how-a-CW-can-handle-TRs-in-PvP

Gearwise I added a few pieces of the GG gear and some defense / regen / hp enchants and now have a much easier time in PvP. Glory comes pretty quick at lvl 60 so I would consider spending it on some of the gear until you have the AD or GG coin to upgrade.
