Publish Failed?

edited January 2014 in The Foundry
I recently updated my quest to fix some floating objects, I am trying to publish it but it is continuing to say "Publish failed" after a couple minutes. Is this an issue everyone is having or is there some way around it, I prefer my objects to not defy gravity so I would like to get this fix out.

Same problem here. Others were talking about having the problem in the Foundry chat tab, too.

Oh, okay. Not just me, then. I'll try again in the morning.

At least it isn't just me then, I will work on the next quest in my campaign in the meantime.

I can't publish the final chapter of my campaign either. Sent it last night and this morning have gotten twice publishing failed.

I just published fine, so maybe it's working now.

I will give it another try then.

Edit: Nope, it is still failing, I will have to live with floating Shadowfell spikes for a little longer I guess.

Odd that mine would work. It was only a 2 min quest though to test combat.

    *Bump*

Just finished a quest I had been working and hoping to release for the New Year's Celebration. It will say it's "Currently Publishing" for a couple of minutes, and then "Publish Failed".

I've been experiencing the same issue. After trying to re-publish to include some fixes I got the 'Publish Failed' message. My quest is also no longer showing up properly in the game, it shows empty and with a 'last updated date' from 1999.

I haven't had this problem, but someone who has might be better off to post in the bug forum or send in a ticket in the game.

I tried with a quest which had been published and later withdrawn, and with another that had never been published -- a test quest that was very short. All failed. So, I dunno, doesn't seem like any rhyme nor reason here.

    Publish fail as well.
I encourage all foundry authors with already completed and published quests to check to see if some of their quests are de-published (for lack of a better made up term)

This particular quest o' mine was published in September (before the Fury of Feywild module). Haven't made any changes since then. Two days ago, guildmate tells me particular quest is not listed in the catalogue. Not even under my name. I go into the Foundry. My quest says "Not published" and the short code is gone.
    Things I tried:
-I tried to just straight publish a few times, publish failed.
-Playtested my quest from beginning to end, no bugs or floaties or anything broken. Tried to publish, publish failed.
-Changed a word of text in the foundry description in order to bring up Save option. Saved changes. Tried to publish, publish failed.
    - Can still edit and play around with the quest, making changes to quest itself and saving those changes. Overall, it appeared foundry mechanics working normally.

    Please fix. Thank you.

What is the proper procedure to publish edits to an already published quest? Withdraw it first? Or just hit publish?

Just hit publish, it will usually publish the update within a few minutes. In this case the proper procedure would be to wait until the bug is fixed, then hit publish.
