Endgame weapon set.

Hey guys


This is Call 911, a little Control Wizard willing to get a new weapon set. So after looking, there's some good weapon set :

The one from Castle Never, the one from Malabog Castle, the Dread Legion one and the Fallen Dragon one.

As I am sitting on 12k GS, and I haven't yet had a group who successfuly finnished the Castle Never, I am farming the Malabog Castle in ordre to get the weapon set.

After looting the offhand, I started to think that since the drop rate of the fragments of the main hand are so low, is it really worth trying to get the Fomorian weapon set ? Or should I tryhard to get the weapon set from Castle Never to then try to get the one from the Dread Legion and then Fallen dragon ?

    I would just farm for fragments to sell, then buy the fragments needed for the Fomorian. That said, the Fallen Dragon is significantly cheaper and only a very little worse in total stats.

    There are actually five end-game weapon sets.

    The first is the set from Castle Never. It has a 2pc Recovery bonus.

    The second is the Fabled Iliyanbruen set. It is identical to the Castle Never set, except that it does not have a 2pc bonus. It drops from final chest in Malabog's Castle.

    The third is the Fomorian Fabled set. Talisman drops from first boss in MC, orb must be crafted from fragments. It has better stats than the Fabled set, plus it has a 2pc Recovery bonus.

    The fourth is the Dread Legion set, which drops from final chest in Valindra's Tower.

    The fifth is the Fallen Dragon set. Again Talisman drops from first boss in VT, orb must be crafted from fragments. Better stats than Dread Legion set, and has a 2pc Recovery bonus.

    Any one of those five sets is very very very good.

    I'd say buy the frags for Fallen Dragon Orb off the AH and farm the talisman from 1st boss VT.

    Fomorians are a bit better in terms of DPS (More Power and same wep. damage), but you should understand these differences are minimal. Your focus should be on getting BiS armor set (HV), balanced stats, then a normal+ Vorpal, although with plaguefire being fixed, it's quite nice as well.

    Upgrading to the best weapon set should be the last thing you do, after everything else falls in place. You can do very well with Ancient set or Fallen Dragon/Dread Legion sets.

    I still think that the best set for CW are the one for Gauntelgrym at least pvp wise

    BiS armor set ? I have a High Vizier now, with a lesser Plaguefire weapon enchant.

    I think the dread legion is easiest to acquire. rest take ADs or alot more farming.

    The dread legion set is great, CWs do so much damage that lifesteal isn't insignificant at all.

    It's also very easy to obtain, provided you can reliably kill valindra during the dungeon event.

    Seconded. The way Regen is on module 2 (artifact, boons) you just need some regen blues off-gear and you are Regenerating from 32k HP with capped ArmPen, good critical and 1300ish Defense.

    Something to keep in mind is that you will need purple assets to craft the MC & VT crafted weapons. They are pretty expensive if you don't know someone that you can borrow them from. Then again, you can sell them when you are done with them also.

    Actually you just need four blues and one green. Thats how i crafted mine.

    Compared to the stuff for weaponsmithing, artificing assets are dead cheap.
