Ranger class problems - POV of who got one.

Its the time that cryptic really have to look into the Hunter Ranger class, because for now its extremly broken.
I play HR myself, its actually my 2nd main character, rank 10's and perfects, etc.. Sometimes i feel bad playing it because its so imba and have broken powers.

Roots that cancels CC immunity as Impossible to catch or Unstoppable like : [Binding Arrow][Hindering Shot].
8 Secs of daze ticks which cancels the opponent encounters animation, or even the whole encounter like CW case with Shard of avalanche [Constricting Arrow].



Not forgetting to mention the fact that while you are on stealth you can spamm your encounters having no cooldown plus reducing the cooldown of your artifact by 70% or so.
It takes all the fun out playing against a broken class, even if I play it and I like it i seriously think it needs a fix ASAP, sometimes its even hard to pug on my HR because people just leave when they see the name.

    SHeepy is SOO right....Like realy.... 4 sec on each root and x2 roots = of 8 seconds...and Constr silences every 2 sec for 6 sec..and while the 1 sec u free another silence pops = 8 sec.

    You can definetly Perma CC with this combo/ bind.hinder/constr

    Not to mention the Immunity ignore..

    If all those CC's would be reduced by half and not going intro immunity...then maybe we would go on the right way.

    From what I've heard the Devs have already recognized the roots as an issue. They are not WAI, and will (hopefully soon) get a fix in relation to Unstoppable and ITC.

    From what I've heard the Devs have already recognized the roots as an issue. They are not WAI, and will (hopefully soon) get a fix in relation to Unstoppable and ITC.

    That still doesn't address the ridiculous burst that can be done while in forest ghost. Melee rangers can wreck sentinel tanks in seconds with that bug.

    I played against a HR today that just kept interrupting all my powers without any problems for several minutes. I did a ragequit and I will keep quitting against HRs that do that.

    If it's a bug it's most likely been reported and will be addressed, not unlike Ray of Enfeeblement or Astral Shield stacking.

    The roots also go through shift dodges. You can dodge the damage but, you get rooted no matter what you do. It doesn't really require skill to apply grasping roots because of this.

    Leveled HR to lvl 60 myself, just to see how it plays. Plus there's coffer of wondrous augmentation changes that forced me to stop logging in and newly opened Russian server (I live in Belarus). Completely from zero, as a completely new player, without alts, buying zen etc.

    1. Split Shot>>>>Everything. Seriously, I was trying so not use it and make a good build with something else but still I end up spamming Split Shot. 7k crits to the entire enemy team with gauntlgrym bow and without weapon enchantment? Easy. 26/5 last GG PvP at 11k GS. It also deals way too much damage in PvE.
    2. Shift gives you very short dodge time. It's almost impossible to dodge with HR. Tink Tink Ice Knife? Dodge, traveled distance, got hit. GWF Takedown? Dodge, traveled distance, lying on the ground. 70 ping.
    3. Constricting Arrow way to OP. Explained in post above.
    4. Paragon At-Will is a joke, low damage, slow attack speed. Daily is bad too.
    5. Vines, no way anyone but CW or another HR can kill me. I play melee HR, not using CD's reset bug with forest ghost in PvP, I win every duel giving zero chances to my opponent.
    6. Encounters' damage way too low.

    In summary, I thing they need to rebalance damage between at-wills and encounters and fix crucial bugs as a CD reset, vines ignore CC immunity (they HAMSTER me off as a HR too) and Constricting Arrow's being undodgable.

    Seriously, quit your whining?

    Aimed shot is the damage but easily interruptible. Split shot is awesome but harder to use when you are kiting.

    And if you don't have two root spells on your bar a good gwf will still pwn you.

    It's my experience that most times the gwfs will ignore my **** teammates and rush me and I spend the match running for my life. I still get kills but hr are so squishy.


    I actually don't think it's imbalanced at all, especially against godwfs.
