I have purchased an active companion slot from zen store. Neither it can't be find in my inventory nor it activated any new slots. Any idea what happened??
Why would it be in your inventory? It's in your companion dialog. Hit "=" and it should be there -- and you know you get them free once you reach a certain level?
Thanks Guys .. I am level 60 and got all companion active slots opened. But found buy companion active slot in the bottom and bought it. **** only now I knew I wasted my 350 zen ..... Atleast they have to disable the option if I can't purchase more. Anyway thanks for the replies ....
Really surprised they didn't remove that option..
I would open a support ticket to try to get your Zen back, since you purchased something that no longer provides a companion slot. (assuming you purchased it after the module 2 release)
The problem is, it still provides a use. It can allow a lower level character have access to all 5 slots before level 60. For some people, that alone has value. Even if it is extremely limited.
The cost of it, needs to be seriously reduced. To reflect is new very limited usefulness. And the option for it should be disabled for any character that has hit 60.

Please contact support.
I am quite surprised it allowed you to purchase active companion slots on a character which was already level 60.
I can't speak for support but I would imagine they would be more than willing to return your Zen if your character was already level 60 at the time of purchase. Thank you for letting us know about this issue and I have passed it up the ladder for investigation.

The problem here is that it is opened on a per character basis, so buying it when you're 60 means you get nothing for your Zen. It's definitely a problem if level 60 characters can purchase this item.
Or, Cryptic could open up a bonus active slot or two for people who had already bought active slots before the change.

I bought this on Sunday...in which i could have sworn they said we could buy 5 additional slots for a total of 10. Maybe i misread the patch notes or the word usage was poor as i am seeing it usually is.
The tooltip even says "buy an additional slot up to a maximum of 5".
So does that mean I can buy 5 more slots or that the maximum is 5?
Then that the option at level 60 is not greyed out is a prime example of poor design and thinking.
i've had a ticket with no reply other than the auto reply in the queue and I am hoping they give me back my Zen. Or at the least allow us all to increase the amount of active companions.
The max is 5 slots total. You start with 3 open on a new char. You get 1 at lvl 30 and the last at lvl 60. Prior to maxing out you can purchase from the zen store slots so on a brand new char you can buy two slots to max yourself out at 5 at the start. It just means that you get all 5 at the beginning instead of waiting for lvl 30 to get one and lvl 60 to get the last.

Yes we just talked about that...but you are ignoring how the wording on the tooltip I even quoted it.
"additional...up to a maximum of 5"
"additional..."
get it?
Why add in the word that means to add when you are already at max at level 60. Now if they had just left the words above this wordage in which it states buy an active slot in advance or some such that would have said right there that there is a maximum and you are just buying more before hand.
Now on to the real issue why is this still purchasable at level 60 when it is a character unlock?
the tooltip states "early unlock of active companion slots" and the maximum is 5. they recently changed the tooltip verbiage to add the "early unlock" part but i suspect it could be a little more clear. and it would also be nice if the item was hidden from level 60 characters as well.

^ this. there is no good reason why it should be avaliable in the zen store when you are level 60 if you already have the max.
Also I'm still in favor of a refund to everyone who bought an active companion slot before mod 2 because I honestly feel like I've been ripped off and I know lots of other players do too.
