Tiefling customisation

Having played a tiefling as my main character for a while this is something that really gets to me.

Its the lack of customisation options for tieflings.

Out of the nine categories, three of them Tieflings can't edit. Eyes, facial hair and Eyebrows (which is at least substituted with horns)

On top of that, a lot of the hair styles clip with horns, making them just so unappealing that no one picks them.

Personally, I think all races could do with more Character creation choices, and I was hoping for that to be added with Module 2, but sadly, all we got was 2 eyebrow styles for women. (again.. tieflings don't even have eyebrows.. and my guys a dude anyway)

So Idealy, what I'd like to see would be some more customisation options in general, but most importantly what I'd like to see is more hairs for all races, more facial hairs (and make facial hair available for tiefling men)

Giving tiefling males access to facial hair would also be very easy, since its already in the game, just disabled. (presumably because it makes the face spikes disappear, and they were too lazy to remodel facial hair to fit the face spikes)

And the funny thing is, Tieflings are one of the most varied 'race' in DnD. Very rarely will any 2 look similar. This is because there are thousands of different races of demons, and they are all very different. Not all Tieflings are descended from the same demon.

If anything they should have more options than any other race in game. You cant even vary the skin tone much. There should be options for no tail, wings, no horns, more horns. Many different skin tones, like black, bluish, yellowish. This is one area I feel they really dropped the ball on.

This is not really true anymore with 4th Edition. The game actually holds to 4th Edition fairly well, in this regard with skin and eye colors. As well as the tail and horn requirement. Not saying a few more options wouldn't be unwelcome. Just pointing out that a lot of the old info on Tieflings no longer applies anymore.

Taken from the 4th Edition Players Handbook itself.
    PHYSICAL QUALITIES
Tieflings’ appearance testifies to their infernal bloodline. They have large horns, thick, nonprehensile tails that range in length from 4 to 5 feet; sharply pointed teeth; and eyes that are solid orbs of black, red, white, silver, or gold. Their skin color covers the whole human range and also extends to reds, from a ruddy tan to a brick red. Their hair, cascading down from behind their horns, is as likely to be dark blue, red, or purple as more common human colors.

Yeah, sadly 4th edition did turn one of the most diverse races into the most generic looking race.. which is unfortunate.. But I'd prefer not to go off on a 4th edition rant, as that's not the point of this thread.

Anyway, They should still be able to have facial hair, they aren't elves.

And by eye customisation, I wasn't meaning the eye colour choices, I was referring to things like 'hurt left eye' and ' blind eye' that other races get, but for some reason aren't available to tieflings.

Tieflings just seemed to get the short end of the stick when it came to character creation.

I really hate that the tail fails with cloaks etc...

the tail also gets burnt off and disappears if you use the inferno mounts... not to mention what happens to the tail when you use the Sit emote.

I like the way it still enthusiastically wags when you're dead, though. That's dedication.

Most of them look the same, at least for males they always have a crooked nose, and are really ugly, I think there should be more nose range, more horn options, maybe smaller, so it doesn't use all of the forehead etc.
