Questions regarding lv10-20-30s violet itemes

i'm kinda new to this game and when i'm in-game i can't help to think on where or how do other player manage to get those violet items, when i'm in blacklake terror, orc and the lvl 19 instance, almost all the players got the violet thingy. do you craft those things? or loot? or mall item? i can't keep up specially on the lvl 19 instance and in pvp 5v5. they hit really hard or they are really freakin hard to kill on the other hand, i'm just using what the game can offer me as a newbie, green items that can be manage to be looted in intances.

i just wanna know f that is to be crafted via in-game items or it all depends in-mall items. if it's in-mall, i think this is like pay-to-win or not really a newbie friendly. i'm willing to pay as i did on the other games i play, but i wanna see first what this game can offer.

    You buy them from the auction house, look for level 0-1 items with the name "Ancient" - you'll find it all. It's new with shadowmantle and anyone who isn't a ranger can get their purple gear for under 10k~ usually.

    The items are found in the new lockboxes,
    then some folks sell them in the auction house.
    You can use them from level 1 and then they grow stats,
    inline with your stats as you level up.

    They are from "Equipment Caches" often found inside Lockboxes, which require "Enchanted Keys" to open, available fro the Zen Store for 125 Zen each or 1125 Zen for 10 keys.

    The Level 10-20-30-** etc. ones you see are most likely from "Dark Forest" Lockboxes, which aren't currently dropping in game, but there are still probably millions of them around, in peoples inventories and on the AH.

    The "Ancient Mulhorand xxxx" are from the new "Rusted Iron" Lockbox, and, as mentioned above, they start out at a seemingly lowish level, which is why there are thousands of them on the AH, but they have no level requirement (unlike Dark Forest equipment) and they level up with your character.

    However, unlike Dark Forest drops from the Lockboxes, which always changes to suit your class, the Thayan or Mulhorand gear will sometimes be for a different class, which is fine if you have multiple different characters as you can "mail" the item to another toon, but not so good if you're on only 1 toon, which is the OTHER reason why there is so much of it on the AH.
