I stopped playing a while and recently came back. Is swash still the go to set for PVE dps? MC and dread set have better base stats but the 4 piece bonus seems to be pretty HAMSTER on both unless it scales with AP. what is the consensus on these who have done some parsing

It depends on your build. If you're not reliant on having stealth up in order to take advantage of the effects of having stealth up (Brutal Backstab, Combat Advantage, zero aggro etc), then Swash is the way to go. Duelist's Flurry go so well with this set, which is the Executioner's main at-will for PVE. Otherwise, Battlefield Skulker is the way to go. +25% Stealth Meter and +5% Damage while in stealth, it's really good for prolonging and improving your performance in stealth.

I've been wondering this as well. More specifically, how does the Fabled Fomorian gear from Sharandar and Malabog's Castle stack up against Swashbuckler's?

Haven't done any extensive testing but Swash's 4pc bonus more often than not has a 100% uptime if you use it with DF. Fabled Iliyanbruen Set's 4pc bonus is only available once every 30 seconds if I remember correctly, and we can deal the amount of bonus damage that the Sharandar Set in 1 - 2 seconds. Really not worth it. If I'll be using the Fabled Set, I'll probably be using it for its 2pc set bonus and its nice boost in stats, but not for the 4pc bonus.

I'm more curious about how the new Dread Legion 4pc bonus will compare to our current BIS for Stealth Players, Battlefield Skulker.

Dread legion is HAMSTER, 4 pieces bonus won't help you if you perma, and damage is to low for DPS spec. Take Swash/Skulker if you're perma, or swash, fabled if you're pure pve spec. Fabled, Swash are comparable in DPS so take what you preffer. This is IMO

yeah im very disappointed with the new dread ring set, a guildie just managed to get a hold of the complete set and he told me the shadowy illusions barely procced so no perma from that... he still had to test some aoe setups, but it really doesnt sound promising as i was hoping duelist flurry would be a good proccer in order to keep the dps spec.

and btw swash is better dps than fabled, i have both, not because of the 1k power as in that aspect they even out dps wise its because the 1k recovery lets u spam more dailies thus u end up with higher dps output.

Fabled is very nice for running ur dailies and farming though as the poison proc can devastate those lesser mobs, i have it slotted with them fey enchantments for that.

In mod1 during CN runs I rarely saw fabled set.
stealth: Skulker or maybe changing Swash for Draco.
    dps-exec: fully Swash

The new DR set damage is lower than Fabled I guess. I am unsure if it worth for stealth rogues.
