For what companion? What's your class?

Also its which, not "witch." You had me thinking there was a new witch companion out. Lol.
    contents to be decided

I generally slot for recovery in offense slots, and either defense or HP in defense slots. I'm not really concerned with armor penetration, critical chance, or power, and the XP gain is kinda pointless, IMO.

The problem is that there were some conflicting reports as to what stats actually work for companion. It may even be that certain stats only work on certain companions.

Personally, I usually just put rank 4 HP runes in my (non-augment) companions as I know those always work but they are better choices ...

If they have a "Defensive" slot, and Eldritch is useful as it allows them to share a % of their stats with you, otherwise look for ones that improve their HP and their main attack powers. I think Power and Crit work on Striker Companions, at least with my Dire Wolf, with those slotted, he tends to 'knock back' enemies way more frequently.

Passive Healing companions? I have no idea, some people say Recovery and Power works on Controllers/Healers, and perhaps the Life Steal on the AoK to augment her own LS power, but I don't know if anyone has done any extensive testing.
Is it finally a T5/U/T6 KDF Science Ship?

I could be wrong, but every healer companion I've seen heals for a % of YOUR HP, so there's very little point in buffing their power...

Healers (and others) I pour hitpoints into. All the enchants, all the trinkets, and all
the enchants I add to the trinkets. I don't see a way to make other stats helpful
enough to survive very long in L60 battles. If you have a purple companion it
might be worth having another stat, but you don't have much room for
    spreading over several types.

I only run a Healer and a cat, so my suggestions are limited.
Did you really think anyone could steal the power of the god of thieves?

I believe they heal for the % + the bonus from power, so it does provide some benefit. I am not completely sure about this though.

My lvl 30 CD accompanies my lvl 60 GF onto "The Bridge" and she survives quite well on there (only lost her once in 7 runs so far), as long as the DC and CW are doing there job properly. In solo dungeons and zones she never goes toes up, I've socket her for HP and Power and her gear is all purple 60's mainly for Regen/Recov. and Power, plus one Eldritch.

So the bottom line is to bust HP and power. So power boosts all powers??
And btw i have a GWF and a GF with all the same companions: Cleric Disciple, Dog/Skeletal Dog, Sellsword, Man at arms and Wizard, and a blue Ghost Paladin.
    Tnx to all.

I wouldn't say these are the best choices (Power scales badly for player characters - I am not certain about for companions), but HP at least is a very safe bet.

I believe Regen works on all companions, and Life-steal too.
