Hey guys stuck at work but when I get home I'm gonna make my ranger and I was wondering if the Ranger booster pack they got for 3500z was worth it? I saw everything that was in it and I think it is but is it worth the price I guess is what I'm asking

I'm not feeling it ATM. Might change my mind, but I was really hoping it was going to be 3000 Zen or less. As a warning, if you do decide to purchase the pack, make sure you open it with your Ranger. There is a bug right now that doesn't allow its contents to reacquired by other characters on your account.

It's a blue companion for each char with an active bonus that is very usable for ranged toons. If you have 3-4 chars that can use him, then there is decent value.

Its only for 1 that i can see so far. I got it today and i like the hawk hes pretty cool and the gear was nice to start with but my HoN weapon was a lot better.

The pet's active bonus is awesome for ranged and hybrid HRs and CWs.

However unless you can get it for multiple toons then its unlikely the kit is worth it for the charge. With 1 HR and 2CWs I can do nicely from this if it is account wide as indicated. But without that I wouldn't spend the Zen on it.
    Obsidian Moonlight - Paladin
    Obsidian Oath - Warlock
A whole lot of other Obsidian toons as well.

The companion is meant to be account-wide according to this news announcement

I went and took the dive myself.

From what I can tell, this package is much more like a Starter Pack than the HtoN/KotF offerings. You're basically given a one-time 'bag' that you then double-click to open, offering you its content. So far as I can see, there's no way to reclaim any of the items later on to get thier skins. The same seems to go for the companion from how the game's behaving - admittedly, I haven't created an additional character to find out.

My verdict? At 3500 zen for a single-character unlock, this gets my stamp of disapproval. This is an overglorified starter pack, and doesn't have all that much value to someone already owning either/both the HotN/KofF packs.

The one character open is a bug.

As mentioned in the previous post.

They're working on it. It will be account wide, just have to be patient. :)

Trying to decide if the hawk is better than the wolf that came with the earlier pack or the Cave Bear...any thoughts?

dire wolf gives you 5% interrupt chance per attack. That's actually been pretty useful, imho.

Hawk increases damage at range. It's relative to the class used.

If I bought it, i'd get it for DC/CW/HR. It'll be interesting to figure out if it's really worth it or not. :)

Well I got the pack and I never got the bag that gives 24 extra slots do I have to pick it up somewhere else or did I just end up screwed out of it?
