How to turn off admin channel

The messages are driving me insane!

I swear it seems like this was possible before, but I cannot figure it out. There's no option to do this in tab options or in chat options, or if there is, it isn't working.

No you can't turn it off unfortunately , it's there to try to tempt you into spending money by reminding you that other people are getting mounts /whatever , my advice? just ignore it , it'll go away all by itself.

That doesn't seem correct. I don't recall the admin channel from the last time I played, and they added the ability to turn it off looooong ago in STO.

The problem is it floods my guild chat window and i don't want to see it so we should be allowed to turn it off.

Flood the channel? That message that that pops up every few minutes saying that some guy won a mount or a companion? The message still appears on screen and I find it annoying sometimes.

As a new guy i wondered what that was for a while. Now i know i keep trying to ignore it but when it comes up as a seemingly different language you kind of think 'eh?'
