New set incomming in module 2 for GWF, which gives 30% run speed for 4 sec and 700 damage to next hit when it ends. For me its a piece of sh**, plus new weapons which are better than Ancients, worst than Formorians.

New armor set and weapon set. From Valindra Tower and Store.

Another new weapon set. Blade from craft LV20 Weaponsmithing, offhand from Valindra Tower

Could they have made a more useless set effect when the new paragon path gives GWF an at-will gap closer?

a "tactical" I have noticed gwf is good to work with "contamination by bleed" in different hordes ... but it seems to me something very ugly to do.

Regardless, two piece imposing/titan will always be the best for pvp and sent spec too. Why can't they at least release 2 sets with one being for tanks and one for dps focus? I will never be motivated to grind through their new content for meaningless dps gears when the tank ones work so much better for pvp. At least they are going with new things by trying lifesteal gear, but come on... I thought GWF were supposed to have the option to be a tankier class, but apparently any new gear that comes out wont support this option.

700 damage every 4 secs + lifesteal instead of recovery, may not be that bad.

No that is not true. You have a chance to get a buff witch increases your runspeed for 4 sec. After the 4 sec you do more damage.
I think Avatar set is still better.

    I disagree on sword.

First of all, fomorian-dread sets are at the same damage roughly. It's so small the difference (7 damage, really) that it's unnoticeable. If you ask me, they are the same, but with different stat bonus that adapt to different types of GWF. A destroyer that is focused on PvE and want to get every little bit of damage buff he can, will go for the malabolg castle set. But for the sentinels that go PvP, this set is perfect. You get the same damage, but with a very good lifesteal bonus.

I'll try to upgrade from ancient set to dread ring set, but the question is: will i be able to find a party to go DD the valindra's tower dungeon? We'll see... Hope the damage increase for GWFs will give us a chance to get a spot in T2 dungeons more easily.

As for the armor... for PvE can be a HUGE damage boost. 700 bonus damage every 4 seconds is pretty good. For PvP...can be good too, if you look for damage and mobility. Depends on what is the chance. Sure thing, better in PvE since you're continously dealing damage, while in PvP you need spike damage.

even if it procs every 4 seconds that bonus is HAMSTER, unless the damage stacks , 175dps really... , giving mobs a hateful look does more dmg, adding more stats and forgetting set bonus would be better, i seriously wonder what the hell is in those skulls of theirs, im starting to suspect its a solid bone

For me both weapon/armor sets are made for PVP focused GWF's which verifies out my theory again - be a sentinel or go f**k yourself. 700 damage is a plus 700 damage to next attack after set bonus ends. So basically its better for single target fights (PVP), as well as 30% run speed (the hell i need that for in PVE?). And as u said, life steal, which is better for sentinels.

Not true. With Iron Vanguard new path, it's a huge upgrade for destroyers in PvP too. Deep gash got buffed. Threatening rush is a great gap closer that can allow destroyers to push their opponent and be on the target in an instant.
I've met destroyers in pvp that are very, very strong. It's just that people don't know how to play them. Think about it: a destroyer can have roar and takedown cooldown decreased by 25%. Also, they can stack recovery to decrease the time even more. With threat rush a destroyer can sprint a bit, roar, threat on you and takedown, then IBS, and have enough stamina to sprint out of range, then come back in few seconds with roar and takedown ready. Can use Vigilant warlord in pvp and stack deflection to improve survivability. With ArP overkill and SoTS from instigator, with the attack power they have and deep gash, a TR/CW will be dead, or almost dead, after the first rotation. If the destro have the daily up, it's sure Death. A Sentinel or GF will have to deal with their fast roar/ takedown and mobility. With a vorpal enchant, they can really be deadly if used well.

Thing is, you are not a immortal wall of brick, so your playstyle is not the one of a sentinel. More like a rogue. Mobility, high spike damage/ critical and fast cooldown on cc skills. If you think it's weak, again, it's just cause you don't really know how to use it. Kill CWs, kill TRs, kill DCs. Yes. Contest a point to a sentinel or a GF? No.

Life steal and critical from dread legion set is very good for sentinels, but can be good for destroyers too if they have capped recovery. Same, a sentinel with capped life steal could prefer recovery.

People think that each update and new sets should be MORE POWERFUL, while it's not what is needed. The power/ damage and bonuses are already enough. Different mix to fit different builds and give variety is much better if you ask me. Huge damage upgrades would just have 2 effects:

    - increase difference between players who are already strong and players who still need to grow, since the first ones will have a easy time getting the new sets, while the Others will struggle

    - gradually make some content obsolete.

Artifacts and active companion bonuses will already give a huge power up. Stronger armors and weapons on top of that, no thanks. I prefer a update focused on increasing variety over an update focused on just throw in raw power for the players.
With new sets you can make different builds and combinations, and still run CN and find it challenging.

Same goes for armor bonuses and boons. People want them to be a huge upgrade alone, while it's all about creating builds that put together different boons and powers to create a sinergy.

Players really need to learn to play this game properly. This is not WoW.

Really? From what i know, it's just base weapon damage. 25 power give you 1 damage point. 30 damage means you deal 30 more base damage with your weapon. As i said, it's a small upgrade, mostly for PvE, when you go from 984 base damage to 1007. You've to look at weapon bonuses and how different weapons adapt to different builds, improving them. For example, a sentinel don't need recovery, but can use more some life steal. Or critical. While other builds can make better use of recovery.

I think the devs made the new sets just scrambling bonuses instead of throwing in huge raw power upgrades, to both encourage variety and different builds, and avoid the older dungeons/ content to get obsolete and too easy to complete.

Rather than having 1 superpowerful sword that EVERY GWF will use, i prefer 10 sowrds with roughly the same attack power but different bonuses to match different builds.

So then I can look forward to the ancient knot=MC knot=New module 2 knot?

Tell me again why I should grind those out if they are the EXACT same?

Also yes for a GWF 30 more damage on a weapon BEFORE anything else is applied is a big upgrade.

I keep hearing people say wep damage is crucial and would act how you describe, but does anyone know how it formulates into actual damage? I was also under the impression that it would just add base damage to each hit.

As you said "in PVP". Yes destroyers as well as sentinels can see the benefits from using new sets in PVP and i am aware of it. But in PVE they are useless for destroyer. I would go with 4/4 Avatar still and with buff from it, 600 power from boon and 15% more of my basic power from feat (while using Slam) i can reach 9k power for 8 seconds (starting from 5100~~ basic). This is huge aoe dps. Meanwhile im about 4000~~ recovery.

I can not decide which feat sacrifice for 25% cooldown decrease of takedown/roar/BF, but still, i dont know if im going to use at least two of them in PVE (in one rotation). Now my rotation is Roar/Daring/IBS, on previev shard I fell in love in Battle fury/Frontline surge/IBS rotation, but still wondering about change BK for Roar again. And for sure, getting rid of every current Feat cost of 25% cooldown decrease would be a waste for me and my aoe damage.
