Chat Offline BUG

There are times when I am playing and my chat goes 'offline' . I no longer can see anyone else in chat, I can not talk, I can not even use commands such as /killme. Just get a message that says 'chat offline' I can still run in the dungeons I am in, still participate. But a team member on my friends list said they saw '@charactername has gone offline' while I was still there playing. The only way I have found how to fix this is to relog. I do not know what triggers it as it has happened in MC and Spider. It started happening hours before the server merge downtime. If anyone else has this happening or any other info on this please feel free to post and help get this issue resolved

I spent 3 days trying to figure this one out and the solution was very odd. Basically I tried everything from re install to have the launcher download the entire game to adding the exe to my firewall in windows. What I finally found was go to windows control panel -> system and security -> device manager -> expand the network adapators and double click your network connection. Mine was "Intel(R) 82579V Gigabit Network Connection" for example. In there go to the advanced tab and find TCP/IP Offloading Options -> properties then check IPv4 Checksum Offload and TCP Checksum Offload (IPv4). What lead me to messing around here was this thread: http://nw-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?163771-Chat-is-offline
The only problem was I didn't have the option he had in there so I poked around in other stuff. After I did that the game started working like it used to.

Well after trying to play again I found that previous solution was not a permanent one. This thread seems to be a more permanent one from what I can tell. http://nw-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?189662-Logged-in-but-nothing-is-working-anymore&highlight=chat+offline

    This post specifically:
"I wanted to update that the problem seems to be fixed for me, thanks to a user on the perfectworld forums. alektynv suggested going into properties of the LAN connection and disabling WinpkFilter LightWeight Filter, it fixed my problem. You can follow in this thread http://techsupport.perfectworld.com/...t=11281&page=2"
