Barkshield and Guard meter?

I was thinking this is a good enchant for my GF but when i tested it it i realised the charges went even while blocking which really annoyed me so i got rid of it. But i failed to test if dmg was first taken out of the enchant before my guard meter went down.

Has anyone tested this?

When you block and someone hits you, lose stacks and block at the same time...

I seem to remember some patch notes recently that mentioned barkshield was changed so it lost charges every time something tried to damage you, even if you were dodging or immune to damage for some other reason (like blocking).

You should be getting hit far too often as a GF for Barkshield to be a useful option.

Or get Soulforged with the Module 2 it will be great for GWF and GF since it will have a revive+heal funktion instead of the damage imunity. :D

Has anyone tested if it works on Pvp? if so, i find it way too overpowered. And it should be changed where it does not work there.

Try reading this and you can test it on the Preview Server ofc and see for urself

    http://nw-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?518941-Feedback-The-new-Soulforged-Enchantment

and it does work in PVP too, but everything on Preview Server is for testing purpose and can be changed till the release which is announced for the 5th December...

Edit: As for Negation burnd read this

Barkshield is great if you aren't constantly taking hits. I love it on my CW for instance, and I've seen a few stealth dependent rogues rocking it as well.

Soulforged should be good for GWF/GF's in Module two, and I assume anyone else who wants the instant res on death as a backup, especially in PvE. There are some nice boosts from active companions that work well with this too, and you can get a HUGE boost to defense and regen on rez that can make this even more effective. I haven't tested it, because I'm not a big fan of "wasting time" in the test realm when I need to be working on my character, but there are some interesting things coming up on 12/5.

I'd have to imagine there are some pretty well geared fighters out there that might want the added DR instead of the rez on death "back up" utility of soulforged, so Negation could be very useful to those guys, especially when they already have a DR of 50%, which, if your tests are right, would mean a 10% addition to that (making it 60%).
