Though there are many other choices, I would like to know more about this weapon enchantment. Is its +15% damage resistance buff helpful in PvE parties?
I have a Greater on my Cleric, and it procs regularity. I find it very helpful in groups with regular PvPers but less so in regular PvE groups. And it's useful with a lot of people with Vorpal-sickness. For Clerics , I would take this first and then eventually work to a second weapon for good farming groups with a diff enchant.

I've been sticking to vorpal because two reasons,
1. It helps with bursthealing people who are charmed by the redness of bosscirkles, which is the only needed form of healing I get to do in CN mostly. A blue AS every now and then fixes eventual minor damage done (archers and such).
And 2. It's wonderful for damagen when soloing, and for not very serious PvP. I don't know how often TR's been mad over a critting Daunting-Lights 1-shooting them.
The fact I'm to cheap to change, and that I come close enough to the DR cap anyway isn't really motivating me to change either.
Vorpal sickness is a mental delusion that takes over people when they slot that Perfect onto their weapon. They become absolutely certain their DPS will kill mobs before the red telegraphed attack on the ground kills them. Most of the time, I end up skating in to do a rez. XP
I don't have any trouble damage wise clearing solo content, and even when I run all damage encounters in CTA, I don't think I'm critical enough to really warrant a Vorpal. I mostly PvE and AS and HG don't critical. I would like Avenger's bonus to be slightly better, as I think too much disparity exists between Vorpals and every other enchantment.

good.
as hell.
whenever I see one in team I am thrilled, same like when I see our GF use KC set instead of that Timeless hero.
That sounds nice.
I just ran a few skirmishes with a lesser version. However, I didn't see any visual effect of this enchantment. Does it have visual effect when it proc?

There is an icon underneath the player portrait, it looks like the "Cleanse" icon. It procs on allies individually (it can happen to more than one person at a time), with independent cooldowns for each person. I don't think it has a max range (if they're in your instance, they can receive the buff). (iirc)

Am I correct in assuming that the damage bonus is *always on*, and it's just the damage res buff that has a cooldown.

Ah... so the only way to know if it has proc'ed is to find its little icon from a bunch of little icons, when we are busy fighting mobs?

Because they aren't tanky in all. That would my answer of this, but i don't have a DC so DC have to dis-/agree with me. ^^
