Some people are getting the shadow wolf mount in less than 5 runs, on multiple occassions, while others are not receiving any mount OR weapon skins well after over 50+ runs. Some have even reported over 100 runs, and still no weapon skin or mount.
RNG is RNG. Sometimes it rolls in your favor, sometimes it doesn't. Some people get lucky, some people don't. You'd have to poll hundreds of people to get any useful data, not just collect a few outliers.

There is a chance you many never get the Wolf, not in 100 runs, not in 1000 runs. And that's not because the RNG is glitched, but because that's how RNG works.
Now, it you'll excuse me, I have to go back to grinding CTAs for that hammer skin.
Good luck!

Pretty much this. I have a friend who is suffering from the lack of luck syndrome after 25 runs and not a single mount (though there were a few rank 5s and skin drops, and oddly a 3333 ad during skrimish hour) where as I've gotten skins and mounts on two characters in about 35 or so.
Ya its completely random, I did about 6 runs yesterday and got wolves on 2 chars, I think 2 weapon transmutions and a few blue gems.
So far today i have done 5 runs and got nothing, not even a blue gem.
The wolf is pretty sweet looking, Just wish it was a little bigger.
The last CTA i did over 25 runs and never got a companion.
It's like a lottery where some people win twice. I smell RNG scam. Maybe some accounts have higher chance to get it. I mean... Some people have it twice and others over 100 nothing? It's very hard to win the lottery twice, let alone the amount of people who are getting it twice. It seems very fishy to me. Maybe they wanted mount to be rare and pulled this off.

Random is random.
I did the skirmish at least 20-30 times on my cleric to get a shadow wolf.
I did it once on my TR to get a shadow wolf.
About 10 times on my wizard.
Random is random. Sometimes it rolls in your favor. Sometimes it doesn't. One member of my guild did it at least 50 times to get his wolf while nearly everybody else around him got it multiple times. Bad luck is bad luck.

Ye's, It's just like the lottery. And just like it is with lotteries, people ca't deal with the fact that they might never win, and because luck/RNG is such an abstract notion, people look for something more concrete to blame. What part of Random don't you get?

I'm at over 65 runs with no wolf mount to show for it. Spending all of my ingame time trying to grind out the mount is wearing on me and sucking all the joy out of the event.
If it was BoE then I could at least buy it from someone and be done with it, but no....just have to keep grinding all weekend if I want it...

I've run it 70 times so far on my CW without getting it. Was planning on trying for it with 2 different characters. I agree random is random and all that. I just wish it were a little less so. Hoping someday games learn to use an increasing chance system. Where every time you run it and don't get the prize, then next time you'll have slightly better odds.

I got it on my 2oth run, and I get it every 4 runs now. And it's bound GG cryptic

You'd have to poll thousands not hundreds to get a proper sample.
But in the end if you only have 1% chance then you still only have a 1/100 chance to get that item. That does not mean 100 runs to get the item that means each and every run you have 1/100 chance to get the item.
You could run it a million times and still never get it.

Assuming it's not impossible to code for some strange reason, this would be a nice thing. The chance wouldn't even have to go up by much each time, and it could reset every time the item was obtained.
Although then, if you're one of those people who's running it just for the dyepacks, then that would be annoying because the chance of getting a dyepack would have to go down for the chance of getting a wolf to go up.... Augh, maybe it isn't worth coding something like that.

The wolf is bound and unique. As it is, people getting multiple wolves are saying they have to delete one to pick up the next. If they intend to have unique items as a reward they should eliminate it showing up after the fist time. Seems like they should do some work on those mechanics anyway.

Actually you can't have more then two Wolves in your inventory (including the equipped one). If you wanna take anything from the chest when you get the second Wolf, you have to delete the one you already have, otherwise it won't let you take anything out of the chest. This id ridiculous for so many reasons. Why does it give you the second Wolf if you can't even take from the chest? Why doesn't it give you a weapon skin in it's place or a R5 Enchantment or anything you can take out of the chest? Why do so many people get wolves they can't even take out of the chests and others can't even get one? The reward system for this CTA is so bad.

Never got the orc wolf, got the paladin ghost in 2 runs, took at least 30 for the shadow wolf.
Unfortunately random means random. They might consider something where x number of runs
automatically gives you the better prizes. Or a token system to trade in for what you want.
Then people would know what to shoot for.
Did you really think anyone could steal the power of the god of thieves?
