New enchantment system and value of wards

So we are getting a new enchantment system. I suppose that's good!
The only thing I am worried about is will wards (preservation and coalescent) lose their value now?
I have 100 (That's $10 worth of value) preservation wards sitting in my inventory. Was saving for a bit later for high end enchants and therefore don't want to use now. Not sure if they will be sucky and useless after this update.

To me it seems extremely important for these things to maintain the same amount of value as they did previously, Otherwise you are really HAMSTER up the guys who invested in these (during the 33% off ward sale for example)

If there is any chance for a developer/community manager etc to weigh in on this? It would be extremely appreciated. :)

They still have their worth, though you won't need as many to upgrade.

Coal wards still give a 100% chance to upgrade and the chances to upgrade haven't changed at all from the current system to the new system.

Preservation wards now protect your reagents when you fail since you don't lose an enchantment when you fail under the new system, except when you need enchantments as reagents at the higher ranks.

    o_o

Wow, it's impressive you know this info. I read all their blogs and didn't see them mention anything, so I thought only devs would know how the new ones work. Hmm.

So now you need 4 times less wards than before. But like you said their value should still be the same, which is nice!

Care to tell how you know this information? :P

Yeah, it is currently on the preview server so you can see how it works. Though anything on the preview server is subject to change.

    Info on the preview server.

You will need fewer wards in the new system, but the goal of the new system was to get more people to participate. So more people could equal more demand, which could mean these things are worth more.

However, if people continue to NOT use the enchantment system to obtain higher level enchants, they'll be worth less.

Dont worry abt worth. Anything that is sold in zen store wont drop drastically in value.
