So I read a few forums talking about how terrible gwf and gf are and I just wanted to know are those classes really as bad as they are being betrayed or is it just idiots playing them bad to get the reputation? Cuz as a new player I really prefer a fighter over a caster and I wanna know how well gf or gwf can be overall.
The only good thing you can do is to try it our for yourself.
There are many great GWF's & GF's out there playing, having fun & getting the job done for their groups.
So the bottom line is to play & be good at it & most importantly - HAVE FUN -

the gwf seems a class that accepts any service to earn extra money ... haha
Still in module 1, if you are relatively well equipped and are a "player ok", you can do some sporadic services - crowd control / tank / dps boss - but far from saying that the class has the function of being an "adjustment versatile between classes. "
* Module 2 promises great improvements in this regard. We will wait.
The gf I did not already know. In theory, the class has a vital function for any par ty, but ... with the current game mechanics, her future seems committed. On the other hand, with the current nerfs to cw, and HR generating as much threat as I think it will generate, the gf will have its valued function.

No. GWF's have a bright future. GF's are being made worthless in the new module.

Nah, I think Mod2 just makes them interchangeable. Groups will want a GF OR a GWF, but not both. LFG's are already making that evident on the preview server.

Couple examples -
Rogues tanking Bosses - while able to do stealth runs/high single target DPS
DC & CW kiting adds - while healing/ AoE DPS and control.
Now, are CWs currently the most 'powerful' class in PvE? Yes.
Doesn't mean they will remain so, but even if they do I still have a blast on my GWFs.
