Hi all!
Many of you are wondering about the strength of sovereign justice's heal, but I just wanted to show it's utility, along with the whole righteous tree.
Here's a log from pvp of me PASSIVELY standing near my allies while a cw attacks me

[Combat (Self)] SkorpionZero deals 259 (1162) Arcane to you with Entangling Force.
[Combat (Self)] Your Healing Step absorbs 259 damage from SkorpionZero's Entangling Force.
[Combat (Self)] SkorpionZero deals 259 (1162) Arcane to you with Entangling Force.
[Combat (Self)] Your Sovereign Justice gives 1011 Hit Points to RabidV2.
[Combat (Self)] SkorpionZero gives 0 CombatAdvantage to you with Nightmare Wizardry.
[Combat (Self)] Critical Hit! SkorpionZero deals 668 (1165) Arcane to you with Magic Missile.
[Combat (Self)] Your Sovereign Justice gives 995 Hit Points to Shadowsz.
[Combat (Self)] Your Sovereign Justice gives 928 Hit Points to Papa Smurf.
[Combat (Self)] Your Cleanse gives 0 AttribModExpire to RabidV2.
[Combat (Self)] Your Cleanse gives 0 AttribModExpire to you.
[Combat (Self)] Your Cleanse gives 0 AttribModExpire to Shadowsz.
[Combat (Self)] Your Cleanse gives 0 AttribModExpire to Papa Smurf.

[Combat (Self)] Your Healing Step absorbs 393 damage from SkorpionZero's Magic Missile.
[Combat (Self)] Critical Hit! SkorpionZero deals 393 (1372) Arcane to you with Magic Missile.
[Combat (Self)] Your Healing Step absorbs 572 damage from SkorpionZero's Entangling Force.
[Combat (Self)] Critical Hit! SkorpionZero deals 572 (2569) Arcane to you with Entangling Force.
[Combat (Self)] SkorpionZero gives 0 Null to you with Chaotic Nexus.
[Combat (Self)] Your Health Regen gives 49 Hit Points to you.
[Combat (Self)] Your Healing Step absorbs 497 damage from SkorpionZero's Entangling Force.

As you can see, I am not using any encounter, daily, or at-will. The healing step already reduces a significant portion of the damage and also allows for stamina regen (if I needed it).

The sovereign justice proc (in red) heals for approximately 1k (I have 2.8k power) and as you can see it procs the cleanse around every nearby member.

Anyways, just wanted to share my love for the righteous tree in pvp! Also, for those who play other classes, if you have ever experienced a shorter duration on cc, lack of debuff (enfeeble/knights challenge) it is most likely due to cleanse. So pvp clerics, make sure to max it out!

I love healing step, and wasn't even aware it mitigated against damage (apart from the extra dodgyness). What's the source of that? Is it a preview server change?

The log entry for Healing Step "absorb" is from the Temp. HP it grants from critical incoming hits.

Ahh. ok. thank you for that. Now I'm not sure whether which is the more broken/weird out of the tool tip, the combat log, or both. I presume the extra damage dealt after the absorb is the temp HP being all temporary and stuff.

There is no extra damage. The damage is dealt like normal and then happens to land/be absorbed by the temp HP.

It is just that the combat log often shows entries out of order, i.e. logically the damage happens first then the absorb.
