Right now we've got an overabundance of different tokens and currencies in Neverwinter; which makes buying 'special items' extremely convoluted and complicated.
We've got five diffferent seals (lion seals, manticore seals, pegasus seals, unicorn seals, and drake seals), different bounty tokens for almost every main quest map, gauntlgrym coins, (seasonal) event and promotion tokens, ardent coins, celestial coins, the standard currency (needlessly divided into gold coins, silver coins, and bronze coins instead of just one unit), glory, astral diamonds (divided into rough astral diamonds and refined astral diamonds), profession assets (profession units and profession tools), zen, tarmalune trade bars, and all the sharandar campaign tokens (along with the new dread ring campaign tokens soon as well).
There are also way too many different shop NPC's; sharandar alone already has around five different shop NPC's which could just be combined under one NPC with multiple tabs for accessability and easiness. And protector's enclave has around twenty different shop NPC's, which will only get higher as more content gets added.
This problem needs to be adressed before it becomes impossible to oversee anymore.

Read your whole post and realized it's already too late. I'm certain that the reason behind having all those different currencies is so that everyone will develop different currency goals. One person will focus on getting lots of PVP gear, while another person will focus on getting gear with Drake Seals. If all the currencies were combined, it would funnel everyone into singular activities (ie. Gold farming) in order to buy one particular set of armor/goodies. None of the other quests would even be viable. Why even bother with Sharandar if gold coins will get you better gear?
When you finish all the boon tree, unlock an NPC allowing currency exchanges.
My personal wish: Trade Feywild Sparks for Seal of the Dark Fey.
I'm not really sure once you finish the campaign, why you would keep doing the daily missions - and I think they're good - give us a reason to keep at it!

You could still do the dailies then buy the purple fey gear and salavage it for AD, repeatably.

Well, I'm not saying it should all just be combined in one single currency for everything.
I'm fine with there being tokens and currencies for PvP gear and other special items (although most players will still use the best gear, which is sharandar gear currently), but the variety of tokens and currencies (for what is essentialy the same thing; like all the different bounty tokens that are only traded in for seals) needs to be toned down to prevent it from getting overly complicated.

I think it would be really cool if it was possible to fuse lower level seals to gain higher level ones as you can't trade or mail the seals to your other characters. Just a thought.

The best thing about Sharandar, and presumably future campaigns, is that you can keep running quests and getting XP after finishing Whispering Caverns. I bought the Neverwinter Pack when my main was already level 60. It took forever to get my wolf up to level 30. I bought a stone for an alt today. Even though I've gotten everything from the campaign, I was able to run all the dailies, including the mini-dungeons and get the stone to level 15.

^^ THIS! What am I going to do with my 400 Lion seals?
I agree about fusing the lower level seals to gain better seals. If not, at least make it be able to sell them for chump change.
On that note about insignias, I think that if I'm doing epic dungeons, I should be getting something better than the lower level insignias, and something more level appropriate, or, if possible, add some special rewards specific to that zones (maybe transmutes or gear or something...) for 60s to turn in. We get enough currencies as it is at 60s, and if you run a whole lot of dungeons you end up with more insignias then you know what to do with because you pick them up when you're thinking that drop might be a Greater identify scroll.
way toooooooooooooooooo many currencies...i'm confused just thinking what is what and where do I turn this in and what do they sell again....by they time I think I know where i'm going I forgot what I wanted anyhow and just go back to pe
Also, take into account the effect of gold sellers on the marketplace in these games.
Single currencies allow the player who is going to break the system an easier pathway to getting it done. One currency they bought off some Russian child labor mob (which for most games like this that don't have an asian presence, you're probably seeing eastern Europeans and Russians more than the Chinese) will buy them anything in the game. Mounts, armor pieces, potions, etc. You name it.
Break up the currencies in this ridiculous and confusing hodgepodge of non-tradeable items, and you make the concept of selling gold or AD far less profitable (though not entirely), because that single purchase cannot solve all of the customer's needs.

You can already exchange zen for refined astral diamonds though; with which you can buy the best gear and the best enchantments in the auction house.
Everything else is either exclusively available through cash shop/promotions or just vanity items (since it's not the best).
So, it doesn't really matter for illegal AD sellers if it's multiple different currencies or just one (they aren't going to bother farming tokens and such to sell them either way, since you can buy the biggest variety of items and the most items with AD).

My point, was that you can't buy it all.
