Mount training question.

Hello!

Do I need to buy both Mount Training books to train my mount from green to purple or just the last one for 2m?

Didn't find any certain information besides some specualtions on this so decided to post a thread.

    You do need to buy those upgrades to turn normal mounts into tier 2 and 3 but nobody does and I wouldn't advise it.

    Spend the real cash and get a Tier 3 Mount. Those are unlocked on all characters. It's actually far cheaper than the mount upgrades especially in the long hall.

    I agree with ambisinisterr, but I'd like to add that you should also look into ranking up leadership to aid with generating ADs, then convert those to cover all or some of the cost to buy the T3 mount. At a conversion rate of 390AD:1Z, that would cost you 975,000 ADs for the 2500 Zen mount, (the cheapest T3 one). It seems like a lot, but if you stick to it for a little while, you should be able to get there...

    Aha.

    The thing is, I've got a normal(green) Inferno nightmare and want to make it purple. And yes, just because I don't like the look of armor on it...

    Have seen a lot of people with Purple quality pigs from summer festival and even once some with a regular horse upgraded to purple

    what do you mean anyone? you already got the answer to your question. you need to buy both training books.

    The easiest way to look at it: Nothing along the lines of upgrading, mount or companion, is currently worth the money Cryptic wants to charge for it. period.

    When they are ready to review just how expensive it is to do a lot of things in the game, i will change my stance. The last time I spent real life currency on this game was about month 3. I have made most of my current earnings myself and will continue to work in that direction.

    Are you upgrading the green one because you want the armor to change on the newly upgraded mount or are you upgrading it because you do not like the armor on the Heavy Inferno (I assume this is why)? If it is because you want the armor on the green one to change you might want to test it on the preview server first because I heard upgrading a mount does not change the appearance.

    To answer your question...yes, you have to buy the rank 2 and rank 3 upgrades.

    jarlsburg the 2nd. I don't like the Heavy Inferno Nightmare's armor.
    And thank you, there are just too many confusing facts about it and people on global chat just said the opposite -_-
