Primary upgrades do not go there

I am at level 60 and trying use 2 Iceshard Daggers. I keep getting this error (Primary upgrades do not go there) when I try to put one of the Daggers in my Off-Hand slot. Any ideas? Thanks.

    Not familiar with that weapon, but it is either a main-hand weapon or the game is incorrectly seeing it as one. Does it have a weapon enchantment slot?
    That is probably the main reason for the primary/secondary designation. (Apart from symbol/icon, sword/shield, sword/knot, orb/talisman.)
    If it has a weapon enhancement slot it is working as intended. If not, it may be a bug.

    Yes. Both Daggers have an Offensive/Weapons Enchantment slots. I can equip one Iceshard and keep my 52 Level Dagger which does not have a Weapons enchantment slot. Thanks for the quick reply Chaoscourtesan.

    Looks like you cannot have 2 Daggers with Weapons Enchantments slots equipped at the same time. Can anybody confirm this? Thanks.

    if you notice in the dagger description, it is a main-hand only item.

    How stupid of me. Just thought you could use any 2 Daggers in the game at the same time. Never thought to look at that. The error message threw me off. Thanks Melodywhr

    Why would they give one class the overpowering ability to have two weapon enhancement slots? That alone should of been a red flag.

    well... some daggers you can. but it's probably safe to say that if it's got a weapons enchantment slot, it's a main hand only item.
