One of my chars, Sayi@rezlez is a Foundry Purist. This means she ONLY does Foundries. Well, sometimes she robs the quests for the extra bags...but other than that, Foundries only.
While I do SUGGEST a Foundry Chat Tab, I want to know if, for right now, there is a Mega-Group or Community (not a guild - I already have one) for Foundry Purists, so that I may start doing Group Foundries. No Voice Chat. I hate voice chat. It's annoying.
If there isn't a group, are there any other Foundry Purists out there that want to make one? I know there's a community for Foundry Authors. But I mean for Foundry players, not all but preferably Foundry Purists.
That's really cool that you are so devoted to playing foundries! (Authors everywhere rejoice!)
I'm not downplaying your decision to stay purist on that, but wondering why a community that likes to play foundries and could group for harder ones would need to be (or be preferably) purist?
If they like to play foundries, wouldn't that be enough?
I played through the main cryptic stuff twice, and have two other characters that were leveled probably 80% of the time in Foundries, but I still enjoy other aspects of the game with all of them.
Anyway, I think a channel or means of communicating and finding other people who love foundries is a great idea!
I say that due to wanting the group to be active most of the time. You don't HAVE to be 100% Foundry, but the more you do Foundries rather than normal content, the more you'll be available to group up with. I want many purists, not all but a good amount, so that anyone can find someone to group with as close to 100% of the time as possible.
Though I'm glad you agree with me about the tab. That would make things MUCH easier.
I would love to join you anytime. Kind of the interaction I'd be looking for. Sounds perfect for me, I hate voice chat.
Though I'd like to add to you, I'm a roleplayer, so everything my character does ingame will be IC (in character).
Just letting you know ahead of time.

Create a chat channel in-game post it here and you are off and running I would say.

Click on the gear next to your chat window and then select the second tab - cant remember what its called. Then put in a name click on create/join and your all set. Remember to name your channel something short so that people can switch to it easily.
Looks like NW_Foundry or Foundry_NW - one of those - is already the official chat channel for Foundries. Dunno why... But yeah. It's already a thing.

The NW_Foundry chat channel is quite unofficial, and authors there really appreciate dedicated foundry reviewers - even if you're not an author, you'll have plenty of foundry review requests there. Nothing stops you from listening to multiple channels. Just set a keyboard macro to change the channel quickly.
Something like " /bind F13 channel_setcurrent NW_Foundry "
