Hello folks,
Well as the subject says it all... I am slightly confused at the logic behind this having collected a few bags I purchased 4 x Waukeen's Treasure Chest and I got 4 Cloaks which were all (Bound) ?
Please can somebody elaborate on that lol as it seems to get worse by the day in all areas.
Any suggestions you can come up with what I can do with these (not rude please) would be greatly appreciated.

it`s kind of sad that those things are bound, but what can you change about it ;p
seems like the pants and cloak are going to be pricy , with some lack of luck and being bound
NPC 3 of them, and use the remaining one as a fashion item.
Nope can't salvage it and worth 1.5 gold !
I NEVER complain about the free events, but this one sucks. The new BOP EVERYTHING in the game policy killed this event.

only item you maybe needed besides that would have been the golden pants,
which also can be obtained from the strongbox.
x 4 the chance. vs the chest.
if it was for ad, you re most safe with the purse.
if you don`t want to depend on eggs price changes ;p
and the smaller chance on rough ad.
it`s a bit casino like, which bag/box/chest to open.
there s not realy a golden rule, but i`m only opening purses at the moment.
i don`t have to wait long also for them to be refined. have 27 chars, so i`m just dropping 100k on each of them ;p 5 days and all is cashed in.

I have a suggestion, stop going for the treasure chests.
Same here... And when I tried opening purses hoping for coins - nothing but pots... =.=
what they should have done is make both the holiday uique objects (cape and the pants) ALSO available for say 500 and 100 coins for people with bad luck. another possiblity for if they must have cape/pants bound have the npc trade you 4 purses for pants and 16 purses for cape. or coins... that way people wont feel cheated by the RNG. but i do agree they really need a account bak if this stuff was BOA (till equipp)
it would both make dupes less painful AND make 1 account with more alts more benificial this will raise the value of character/bank slots. also they could sell account bank slots for double single character bank slots (if not more)
if i came to your house every day for a month and handed you ten bucks completely free of charge with no strings attached whatsoever... and on the first day of the next month, i handed you a banana... would you ask me where your ten dollars is?
let's say it wasn't ten dollars i gave you. let's say it was one of three items: a pair of ray ban sunglasses, an iphone or a laptop - every day for a month - but this time, the stipulation was that you couldn't sell it. you had to use it or you could return it for credit that you could change into cash up to $2.50 per day.
this is essentially the same type of scenario in game. you are getting something for free... something in return for your own personal entertainment... and the complaints are about the stipulations of those free items. BoP is great because it prevents a flood of those items on the auction house and it forces you to participate if you want the items. BoP in dungeons forces players to EARN their gear rather than simply buying it from the auction house. is this going to cause such things as getting repeated golden cloaks and other items... sure. that's just how the system is in place. if this broke the game for you, i suppose you can look at it any way you like. but it's great for the economy.

Smart people will wait till after the event to sell them. The only thing, at that point, that wouldn't be useful would be the coins. The rest would most likely still be highly in demand. Especially once stocks of dye and the like have dwindled.
Time isn't free, time is money so your whole point is invalid.
Double bound items that can only be equip or discard are useless and there is no way you can change people's mind about that.
Maybe that you are the type to accept everything that is thrown your way but others aren't.
I doubt anybody here is entertained by farming for hours for boxes and than getting 4 the same bound items.
No one is forcing anyone to farm mindlessly. This isn't a contest, just a fun little event.
Ive simply been doing the dailies I would of been doing anyhow. It was a double bonus today simply because it was also Neverember foundry bonus day. Today alone I ended up with a ton of bags, as well as a nice pile of daily AD. And never once did I feel like I had to farm them. Perhaps tomorrow, Ill do some Sharandar dailies, and if I get a ton more boxes it will be just another bonus.
Id like to hope that most people are doing the event in a similar fashion. The hard core farmers, for the most part, tend to be in the minority.
if time = money, think about all that money you waste in the bathroom, while sleeping and while eating... not to mention relaxing and personal entertainment.
nope, i don't think my point is invalid. i think your perception of time is a bit skewed. if you are playing a game and expect to get paid for it, i think you're in the wrong dimension. free items drop on nearly all npc enemies you kill. whether they are BoP duplicates or not... that's the chance you take with participating in this event.
can it be annoying? if you let it annoy you, sure. does it suck that you didn't get 256k rough AD x4 and instead you got a bunch of capes? YES. it does suck. but it should all be in good fun.
Would've been more fun if you could get them as you play however you like.
...or did they fix the group drop? (Assuming it's a bug.)
It's an attempt to give bored lvl 60s something to solo, so they'll keep playing. This thread is feedback.
So far, I've got the RAD 2 out of 4 times. I'm not upset. At least it gave my GWF something to do, besides professions.
Now I will have to send my purses to an alt.
