Not a Profane Name!

Howdy,

In trying to name my companion, Grand Duchess Killdeer, the game informs me I may not name my companion a profane name...Fail.

Please explain.

    Copy the character w/ the unbound companion to the test server, and try some permutations of the name, to see what works...

    I can't say for certain what part of the name is causing the issue... maybe "kill".

    It could be, however my character's name is Countess Killdeer.

    Perhaps some part of the name is a curse word in another language?

    Its most likely just too long. I believe 20 characters is the max.

    I wonder if it's picking up on the first 5 letters of Duchess as a commonly misspelled obscenity.

    Player characters can have up to 20 letters in their names, but I think companions go up to 24 for some reason.

    Edit: I'm told "Bimbo" isn't accepted, so don't misspell "Bilbo".

    LOL i would get banned if i posted one of my companions names. LOL must of added this after i named mine

    I named my pig pet Honey Boo Boo and it didnt got declined! ha!
