I am very much happy with Cryptic's new "server system".

I can actually now go into 140+ populated Protector's Enclave instances and have zero lag unlike before.

A lot of people on zone are also experiencing the same thing. Good job on that Cryptic.

Of course, there will always be people complaining about some lag but now we know its because of their crappy internet.

Oddly enough, for me this has been quite the opposite. I wonder if the fault lies within my connection or are my graphic settings too high. Who knows. Anyway I like that the population is alot higher, should make queues faster and you can sell stuff faster in ah because there is now more ppl browsing auction.

Network lag and graphics are entirely unrelated.

Smells of redundant server code from what i'm seeing.

An overall benefit with some strange situational rubberbanding

I was on at 2 AM last night, at first no lag first 3 pvp matches, and then 4th match was rubberbanding halfway across the map. I'm not too concerned tho, the new server had only been up an hour at that point, I'm sure it will smooth out.

It seems to lag about as bad as ever for me. Worse than before in Sharandar, where I just lost 50k AD, 20 sparks and 150 gold crescents due to the server evidently not registering my selecting another item to purchase. This upset me a bit. Never had any issues with that kind of thing before.

I did not log in right after the shard merger so I could not account for any lag during that period. There were some small stealth patches and everything seems smooth right now

No difference in lag for me. 130+ enclave instance? Lag city. GG PvP? Also laggy. Less populated or busy instances work fine for the most part.

The lag I am getting in the game now, after the merge, is so bad that it has become unplayable for me. I hope this will improve shortly as I do enjoy the game a good deal, but until the lag goes down I won't be playing much, if at all, due to this.

    Edit:

I gave it another go, not long ago, and the performance was much improved, so that it was pretty much like before with just a bit more rubber banding. I'm not sure what was causing the problem earlier, but it seems as though it was fleeting.

Thing to remember if you are experiencing lag, it may or may not be on their end. It could be your end or somewhere in the middle. Last time I experienced lag was because my machine decided it was a good time to download updates.

The server is using at-wills against us. Lag at will... My ping went down quite a bit, but since the shards have been merged the rubberbanding has rendered the game almost unplayable. I do not lag in STO or CO or any other mmo, not even in swtor.

The strange part is, the lag goes away and comes back randomly.

I have not had the terrible rubberbanding type of lag since the merge. Even while in an instance with over 145 players.

Previously (on Beholder), it would be pointless trying to get anywhere in any instance with that many people. Better to wait out the timer to change.
