paragon ideas

Guys i was wondering, what paragon paths would you like to see in the future for the CW?

I would like a necromancer path, with poison damage spells and debufs.. also a summon would be nice (lets say a necro could have unique companions)

Also a warlock (like in NwN2) would be a very nice path, with dark damage (maybe fire too if hellfire warlock) and the demon transformation as a daily. (eh... a pitfiend summon would not disappoint me as well :p )

    1. control path (most control stuff, utility things and survivability here)
    2. destruction path (i want to see big aoe fire nukes and alot elemental damage >:D)
    3. summoning path (some cool summons and good debuffs to increase the effectiveness of the party; dmg mostly via dots)

I also wish there will be some sort of dualspec in the future to conveniently switch between pve and pvp specs and a reduction in respecing tokens; i always like to play around with specs, but currently its too expansive to try things out :(
    Suggestions to improve NW:
    - Dualspec
    - Better rewarding foundry and foundry pvp maps
    - Custom PvP leagues with leaderboards instead of the current 'matchmaking'.
    - Armory
    - make jumping cost stamina (to reduce hopping in pvp)

Just to make sure: you do know, that you can respec for free on the Preview shard?

Never tried that, thanks for the hint.

Id like to see any variant of Wizards in-game, since my main got me bored to hell and then i had to make 1 of each class later. Sadly, i dont see it happening any soon, since i believe the Devs are going to ork in the 'basic' classes first, like Ranger, Paladin, Warlord and Warlock (by 'basic' i mean those one can find in the first 4th edition Player's Handbook). BUT theres hopes for the Scourge Warlock, but idk what to expect.

Elementalist (as mentioned above, fire spells missing for now...) and warlock. Ammon Jerro type of eldritch destruction :) Or a separate warlock class, who knows, they aren't really wizards... Summoner could be a specialization for them.

I had a couple of ideas that I fleshed out (links in my sig below) ... there's plenty of scope to expand, so I hope they do so soon!

I want a control focused path but not with stuns and freezes. Illusionist would be cool if implemented correctly. I am thinking phantasms that could act like the TRs Bait and Switch dummy. But they would be mobile. Making extra images of allies and/or themselves. Pretty much a protector and manipulator. Some illusions could terrify and make people cower/run. I would have fun with that.

As some said already. The Fire elemental path for wizards (Which they are getting. )) But this is the main one I want for Wizard.

Besides that, I'd like to see a paragon path for wizard that utilizes dark magic and debuffing with the least focus on active control, but passively controlling.

I'd like a more mobile offensive path for GF.

And AOE path for GWF that possesses AOE encounters.

DC is the only class I've not played yet, so I cant say what Paragon paths I'd like to see for them.

I think for Control Wizard I would love to see a "Conjuror" path and maybe an "Elementalist" path. The prior concentrating on summoning elemental beings and the latter being much more focused on direct damage than CC.

I think that a necromancer tree would be much more in the realm of a Warlock (which I would absolutely looooove to see in this game). Warlock/necromancer has been my main class of choice since D&D, EQ1, and every game since then. Since CW is the closest I can get to that in this game I tried it out and it's a blast.

I wish your paragon path had a greater influence on your abilities, maybe when they come out with more paragon trees they will change the mechanics a bit, who knows.
