Question for Tactician GF (Fulinorax related)

My gf is typical Conq spec 16k gs, radiant stacking power/hp, yada yada

I've been thinking of respecing to Tactician/prot, just for something new on my GF as I find myself rarely playing her anymore.

My question is about the Fulminorax fight in Malabog's Castle.

Powerful Strike, tier 3 Tactician tree at rank 5/5 grants 100% interrupt on Lunging strike.

I know interrupt from the initial tic of GWF Slam and from CW's Maelstrom of Chaos interrupts Valindra's channeled spell casting powers, ie Choke and Summon Portal. because of this either of these classes (typically GWF as most CWs don't bother with MoC) are essential to this fight, especially doing this fight in a pug. I know the fight is doable without it, but it's just easier if you can reliably interrupt Valindra to save party member/not have to deal with killing portal/unhallowed adds.

Any Tactician GFs with legit experience in this fight, does the interrupt from Lunge have the same effect on valindra as the interrupt from the 2 powers mentioned?

    seems there are no tactician GFs around on the forums. I've respec'd and once the CTA dies down and people start running MC again i will give it a shot and report back my findings.

    I remember from another thread someone with that feat said that it didn't work. It was the thread about who had finished MC since they patched.

    I have a Tactician, but I didn't take that feat because I only have 1 point in Lunging Strike. Wouldn't be able to answer you anyway since GF's are dead weight and even when we do get into MC we get left outside so the big boys in their HV sets can play.

    Ill test it out, I do MC alot, but usually i try to keep control of the dragon. the skill interrupts the enemy while they are channeling their skills, if the channeling was successful there isnt much u can do. still gonna test it on Valindra.
    Wonder why Neverwinter staff dont like me >;O

    I've been unable to test this yet. Trying to find a group that does 3/3 is hard enough, the ones that do either use the jump exploit to kill fulminorax from beneath the map (90% of groups) or they do it legit and have a gwf for slam, thus no room for a gf as well.

    Doesn't help that my gs took a 3k hit respecing. 13k gs is overkill for any class, except gf its assumed 13k = still wearing blues/t1 gear.

    My GF has this feat but i am always nose to nose with the boss and everyone else goes and plays with Valendra. Thing is it didnt seem to interupt any of the dragons powers so probly not with her. sorry i could not answer your question good sir. And for the record i have 3 GFs and o love my Tactician GF. she is almost like a paladin the way i made her, i buff partys dmg and can debuff mobs dmg output.

    The only 3/3 MCs i've been able to run, even alleged "legit" runs, are Range classes use Jump bug and go under the map and solo fulminorax while i twiddle my thumbs at the camp fire.

    I've also noticed that the interrupt doesn't actually interrupt certain mobs and I'm also worried that it will not interrupt Valindra. It would probably be easier for me to respec my CW for Maelstrom and use that against mobs that I know my improved lunge does/doesn't interrupt, and compare. Won't be definitive but it's more likely to lead to an answer than trying to get a legit 3/3 run as a GF.

    Doesn't work. I had this feat 5/5 and LS 3/3 but it didn't interrupt Valindra.
