Diminishing Returns on Def stats for GWF

This has most likely been discussed elsewhere, but I have a couple questions about defensive stats for GWFs.

1. At what point do you start to hit diminishing returns on defense and deflect rating?

2. What are the soft and hard caps on Damage Resistance and Deflect chance?

I am working with a sentinel build for tankiness, and am trying to figure out what enchants I need to stack in defense slots. Plus, I may be able to respect out of a few tank feats for some more damage once I get a hold of the titan set, but I want to make sure I get as close as possible to the max defense and deflect. Any suggestions or information would be welcome. :)

Defense is the same for any class. I would say defense hits a soft cap around 3000. Here's a graph I made long ago showing the effectiveness of the defensive stat.

    2. I do not know what soft caps on Defense GWF's have (in the strict sense of an ability or condition that makes it significantly less useful to stack more of a stat at a specific level and NOT general guesses at Diminishing Returns range), but I suspect none like the other classes. Hard cap on Damage Resistance is 80% from all sources, though mitigation on Deflect'd attacks can take that to 90% equivalent.
