As per the quest description, please allow the players to complete these quests with "any appropriate leveled dungeon," even epic versions... which are indeed appropriate.
Yes, but I think the general point (given the mention of epics) is "please don't make me constantly run the dread vault (non epic)".
Because the dread vault is terrible.

I agree... the quest should fulfilled by completing *any dungeon* of your level range, which includes the epic versions of others dungeons, for level 60 characters.

"Appropriately leveled" means your character fits in the level range of the dungeon, not that the dungeon is an appropriate level for its difficulty.
Using this description, I would still argue that when you select the epic version of a dungeon, your character fits in the level range of that version of the dungeon, else it would not drop level 60 gear.
Furthermore, it would seem that the daily dungeon quest, at some point, becomes locked to a single dungeon. I say this because, while leveling, I would out-level a daily dungeon quest that I had taken before. On more than one occasion I would have multiple instances of the daily dungeon quests, all for different dungeons. This seems like a less than optimal implementation.

Obsidian Oath - Warlock
A whole lot of other Obsidian toons as well.
Because the dread vault is terrible.
