Game Suggestions

I've been playing Neverwinter for close to a year now and although I really enjoy the game there are a few suggestions that I'd like to post here that I came up with yesterday:

The first issue that I have has to do with the final battle against the Main Boss of a dungeon run. Now I realize that these battles are supposed to be challenging, after all the game would not be very much fun if you went all the way through the Cloak Tower to face Vansi Bloodscar and she was a pushover. However there is a fine line between being challenging and being out right impossible and/or frustrating to players.

Case in point: Yesterday I was playing the game and I went on the dungeon run which I believe was called Lair of the Pirate King. The dungeon itself was rather challenging but it wasn't anything that me and the party that I was with couldn't handle, then we got to the final boss

It's often easier if you or someone else knows the tactic for the boss fights instead of having to figure it out on the fly. For Pirate King, the usual tactic is either to zerg the boss(with a high DPS party) and kill him before the adds overwhelm you or for the TR(or GWF) to solo the boss on the right of the ship while the CW, DC and GF pull and kill the adds either by the mast or near where you spawn.

the stupid thing about this game is you cant defeat t1 dungeon without t1 armor and you cant defeat t2 dungeon without t2 armor. so if you team has less than 10k GS you can say bye bye to pirate king or other t1 dungeons.

Did pirate king epic last night. Several of the party still had green gear in places. Nobody in the party was 'overgeared'.

Tanked adds in corner, GWF took on the boss. We had 2 CWs CC'ing the adds on the tank and making life easier for the cleric. Occasionally had to divert the CWs to take on extra adds that decided the GWF looked like a tasty snack.

The GWF died when boss was around 50% health and we finished it off with 4 people, one CW focusing mostly on boss, the other diverting single target damage to boss as much as possible while still AoE'ing the adds.
Roo. Cleric. Mad as a bag of badgers, will heal for beer.

    Ancient Shadows: Mature. Sensible. Custard.

This statement is completely wrong. Except CN/MC there is no content, where you need 10k GS. You can do T1 dungeons with green items with full pug queue party, one handed and one eye closed. T2 are bit harder, but PK is the easiest one. Any equip above gs limit is enough.

With due respect to all the people posting suggestion threads, I must ask - is there an "offical" suggestion thread or forum that the devs read? I can't find one, and I can't imagine devs reading dozens of posts every week.

I ask because I have a few suggestions as well, but I actually want them read lol. In all seriousness though, is there such a thread?

OK, back to game suggestions(All I'll bet have been covered)

My 20 something GWF running around graveyard, first five finds, all "red" pieces. That needs attention.

The "Binds" issue, a CW picking up weapons, armor, etc. that they could never use yet it "binds." Too bad at AH one could make some serious coin, but no, must sell at store for coppers. Frustrating!

    My $.02

<edit>OH YEAH, one I forgot. A couple quests where the quest giver offers to pay in "gold". Well, we all know that NEVER happens. In other updates wording is changed for the better, "it's not pink, now it's rose". Just a "suggestion."
"When You Attack, You Must Vanquish"
"When You Defend, You Need Merely Survive"

Master Po to Kwai Chang Caine

Bonhomme Richard DC L 60 PVE Heal Build

No, that's not a problem at all. Problem are people who think that mmo game should feed em with everything in one day ofc with millions of cash to spend. I can say only one thing ...

    Earn it :)

Suggestion: retain 1 campfire in dungeons at the start remove all others. Place a portal next to it and after each Boss. Defeat the Boss and the portal near it is activated/opened. Die on the way to or at the next Boss and you res at the entry campfire and use the portal to jump to any other which has been activated.

Oh, and on entry to any dungeon, activate a system message which says:

"If you're looking for the Gift Shop then you've come the wrong way. Get Out!". ;)

*sigh* I don't get this...my post was much longer than what you see here. How do people post page after page of stuff for Class Guides and what not and when I try it all you see is the first 2 paragraphs?!? I give up!

Forums of this nature usually employ one or more company moderators who not only try to keep the peace, but also take note of any of the productive comments, ideas, and suggestions and present them in meetings to the rest of the development crew. In addition to this, it is not uncommon for developers to go through areas that are of interest to them as well. And many of the staff are players like you and me who enjoy the game and come to the forums for many of the same reasons we do.
