Toolset question - Crypts and Skeletons!

Heya :)

In the campaign in a section called "the Dead and Dying" there is a part where skeletons push the lid off of crypts and hop out and then attack. Looked awesome, and I happen to be making a crypt.

Anyone know how to make this work? Can we do it with the limited Foundry tools?

Thanks ahead!

Wow that thread about times is awesome!

Still, I am uncertain how that would help. In the campaign IG there are sarcophagi that are closed/shut, and when the player comes closer, the lid slides off and the skeleton hopped out, literally it looked like a small hop.

I don't know how to manipulate the lid with or without a timer? No idea :)

Also, a 2nd question, there was a part of a dungeon I played that had moving walls. You were in a hallway and the walls on the sides slid downwards on the left and right with opponents waiting in the rooms there. Looked awesome, and it could spawn with component complete on an encounter, but I don't know how to manipulate objects like that. They even slid down without just vanishing. Possible to recreate in the Foundry?

To answer the second part - There are some volume objects that slide when players get near so it could've been that you saw.

No clue about the first part though. Lid vanish - simple. Lid slide off...no clue.
    My Foundry Quests:

The Silver Sword - NW-DEIPWYISA - Daily Qualified
A Relaxing Stay - NW-DEEYNZYZ9 - Daily Qualified but going to be updated

Here's how you can do the crypts opening without even needing a timer.

    A) Crypt w/closed lid Appear When Immediately
    B) Closed lid on crypt Appear When Immediately - Disappear When Marker Crypt1 Reached
    C) Sound: Door Stone opening (or something that sounds like stone moving) - Appear When Marker Crypt1 Reached
    D) "Open" lid on crypt (rotated 15 degrees - slid a few feet?) Appear When Marker Crypt1 Reached - Disappear Never
    E) Marker "Crypt1" centered on crypt w/radius of maybe 5'-7'
    F) Spawn Skeleton encounter - Appear When Marker Crypt1 Reached

Now, if you want to add some suspense/timing to it....

Over a hole in a nearby (within 250') cave floor (like Cave L shaped):

    G) "Tick1" Encounter: Drow Assassin - Appear When Marker Crypt1 Reached
    H) "Tick2" Encounter: Drow Assassin - Appear When "Tick1" Completed (i.e. dies falling thru cave hole)
    I) "Tick3" Encounter: Drow Assassin - Appear When "Tick2" Completed

Change B) ...Disappear When "Tick1" Completed

    C2) Partially "open" lid - 10 degrees slid a foot? - Appear When "Tick1" Disappear When "Tick2"
C3) Open Lid - 15/20 degrees, slid a few feet- Appear When "Tick2" Disappear When Never

Change F) Spawn when "Tick3" Completed

Whew. Glad you understood all that. :p

One thing to be careful about also is to make sure you don't spawn the drop-timer mobs too close to the cave walls. I've had them "catch" on the walls before they fall all the way down to y=-81. I usually go into 1) Detail mode and make sure they are dropping very close to the middle of the hole.

It also helps to setup a teleport to a few feet above y=-80 so you can watch the mobs drop.
