Just curious

How many Fighter players out there also play the CW? And what are you experiences between the two class whether GF or GWF and CW.

How do they hold up to each other, pros and cons.

I play a GF and a CW. But mostly GF as it is fully geared.
But i like CW more. It just fits my personality. Although the initial role of both classes is crowd control, they do it differently. And wizard does it with more style :D
But both classes are versatile and can switch between more control or more damage without respeccing.

btw wait for sing nerf since it is the only spell being crucial for dd cc, and our devs love nerfing everything that helps un in the dungeons

I don't play a CW, but I play a GWF amongst a guild that seems riddled with CW's. I pick up their talk, alot. And we make pvp vids, so there is quite a bit to learn when you watch a good CW work.

My GWF, on the surface, seems to be a straightforward basher. I go berserk, and people around me have a hard time killing me while I attack faster. The finesse in the class is it's utility abilities, which include a bunch of CC and some interesting game changers which will give you more to do than just hitting things, like pulling/pushing mobs and debuffing their DR.

In short, you can play it the easy way with three encounter powers and just smash things, or you can get technical with it, move a lot, use CC, and disrupt the enemy (be it other players or npcs). And you really feel like a powerhouse when you fight a mob and go 'unstoppable' and see how hard it is for them to kill you. Definitely a Hulk moment.

Watching and listening to the CW's play, it seems to be altogether more technical and consuming. It's rapid attacks and big blasts, cc's and teleports. Good CW's seem to constantly be juking and jiving and throwing balls of energy. Makes for very dramatic videos and exciting gameplay.

My main was GWF. The devs broke my knees, hands, elbows, and face with the nerf sledge hammer. So now my main is CW. So far, loving it. Been running T2 dungeons extremely well. My survivability is a little less but my damage WAY higher. Group utility is much higher, as well.

GWF is a very fun and intense class to play when done correctly. Sadly, though, it feels more like beating your head against the wall with all the nerfs. A good (rare) GWF is still useful, but you have to do an absolutely AMAZING job to get average results. In comparison, when I do an amazing job as a CW, the results are simply amazing.

Disclaimer: I'm mainly talking about PvE. I don't PvP due to extreme lack of balance.

I started with a CW, then rolled a GWF when I hit 60. The GWF has become my main. I leveled much faster, and I stay alive much longer. I'm just starting to learn how to PvP with the CW, so I'm starting to do a little better with it. The CW is harder to play well, IMO.

    gwf and CW.
    Night and day, basically.
Can't see any area where my gwf is better. No need to worry about red circles. Focus not lost when mob moves away. Dailies come much much more often and actually deliver damage. No need to drink HP pots.
Even the double tap on the "W" key. With my CW it teleports me. With my gwf, nothing happens.
English is not my first language.

I'm still new and have no lvl 60 characters. However, I have leveled each class to 21 to decide what I like best to become my main. I do PvE (dungeons, skirmishes and questing) and PvP.

Overall, I like the GWF best, and by more than a little. This surprised me as I usually assume the healer role or tank role in other MMOs. I like the mobility of the Shift-run speed. I like the AOE bashing and I seem to level much more quickly. I love PvP as GWF. I've read much on the forum that my joys will go away at lvl 60, but, for now, the GWF is the way I am going.

The CW is the class that I liked the least. This does not surprise me as I have never really gravitated towards the DPS spell casters. I feel like PvE I am running in the wrong direction most of the time. I do like the CW PvP, especially frustrating the heck out of enemies with the CC.

Sadly, CW will probably get a nerf, sooner than later, which everyone will spout has ruined the class. They are FotM right now, and there are so many touting how superior of a class CW is.

Players are just now starting to realize that GWF's aren't really broken and are still **** good at PvP. So much of this has very little to do with anything the devs change, and more to do with player perception.

I think it more likely that they'll simply limit HV stacks.

I think the opposite: the trend is that the cw becomes even stronger.

I am a fan of this theory: as the cw, among all classes, has always been the most valued, she probably should have greater number of players, and thus more potential consumers of special packages. I do not know if the company intends to risk his biggest audience today due to a rebalancing. And do not blame her too, even though I have said a lot of nonsense here.
