Hey folks. Apologies in advance if this has been asked before. I did a search on a couple of the forums here but couldn't find what I was looking for.
At what point do you start slotting enchants into your equipment? I'm a lvl 34 GF, but it seems like I'm upgrading my equipment every other level. That makes me hesitant to commit any enchantments to them as the cost to take them out seem disproportionately high.
Is it common to just slot enchants into the equipment as available or do folks typically wait until 60 and their T1/T2 gear? Any advice for a neophyte is greatly appreciated.
I started putting rank 4s and 5s into T1/PvP gears as I got them. No weapon/armor enchants.
Saved higher enchants for gear I knew I'd be keeping for a long time.
Too expensive for me to take them out, and gear while leveling is disposable.
Usually wait for 60... you might slot some of the azure ones (blue) in utility slots to help you leveling. Better save enchants for max lvl (lvling is fast in the game anyway).
Yeah wait till your first purple set. If you wanted to replace an enchant on a set you can do so but it will destroy the first enchant, it's often cheaper to buy one on the AH though.

I started slotting my armor as soon as I got armor with slots. Slotted it with whatever enchants happened to be dropping at my level. Didn't slot higher than 4 until L60 though.

Don't make a big deal out of using enchantments. As you grow in level the mobs will drop higher level enchantments (up to rank 4), so I would say slot any gear you want with rank 1-4 enchantments cause you will always get more. If you manage to get enchantment of higher ranks (5 and above), I suggest you keep them for your level 60 purple gear.

leveling up, rank 1 & 2 gems are a dime a dozen. you could slot those and then sell the gear for gold when you're done with it. that way you're freeing the space you set aside for enchants that are way too low and you'll never really do anything with once you get to levels 40+... and you're giving yourself a little boost. it's like a win-win situation here...

Slot at every, just don't remove enchants, place new over old at high levels. wep and arm enchants wait til you get the ones you want for the gear you want cause they cost a pretty penny.
Just wait until you hit a wall leveling. For me, I found that to be the Volcano Zone (Hotenow Mountains) at around level 55 or so. At that point, I found the extra points from enchants to be helpful. That being said, if you can wait till 60 to gem out your first purple set, you'll be better off from an economic standpoint.

As a follow up, do the drop rates increase as the zones progress, or do they stay fairly consistent with what I've seen in Neverdeath and Helm's Hold?
Rank 2 and 3 are very easy to find Rank 4 are more rare, but still not that rare. Mobs don't drop rank 5 or above Enchantments and Runes.
As a side note - the problems appear when you try to fuse them into rank 5 and above, as the success rate drops considerably. Starting at rank 7 they are of epic quality and tend to be very expensive because they are harder to obtain (30% success rate).
