stacking bonuses from different sets.

Hello I have a question.
Currently I'm running Shadow Weaver's Cap and Armor but I'm thinking if it would be wiser to leave the set at two pieces and add gloves and boots from Magelord for additional 450 power.

Is it worth leaving 4part bonus for more power?

SW 4 part bonus:
striking a foe with a control encounter spell grants your allies near that foe Reckless Abandon which grants 113 Lifesteal for 10 seconds; striking a foe with non control encounter spell grants your allies near that foe Measured Spellcasting which grants 3% additional Critical Severity for 10 seconds; allies affected by both Reckless Abandon and Measured Spellcasting receive double the benefit from both buffs; each of those buffs may have 3 stacks

It would be better to roll with 4/4 HV.

edit: oh, and get some armor pen

You need another 1000 arp to become elite.

Easy. I made couple of mistakes when I enchanted boots and arms accidentaly adding gold and exp bonuses. Plus I'm going to be changing shirt and trousers for the gemmed ones

you should be thinking about 3k+ recovery, 2200+ armor pen, and 4 piece High Vizier
then you can start thinking about crit

I hate to say it but it's much easier to just run the dungeons to get the HV set these days(even if you have to run each one 3-4 times to get a group that completes it and the chest gives a set item). It's what I'm planning to do anyhow.

    SHADOW WEAVER:
    TOTAL
    +574 power
    +1271 crit strike
    +1271 recovery
    +1095 defense
    +7 AC

    HIGH VIZIER:
    TOTAL
    +1271 power
    +1271 recovery
    +521 defense
    +574 deflection
    +574 regeneration
    +7 AC

Why do people say HV is better? It gives you less of everything rather than more of couple.
Just how big of a difference will >500 bonus make?

The HV debuff stacks with other CW's which makes any trash/boss laughable as their DR is taken way into the negative. It also boosts the entire team much more than the SW set so if you want to help your team excel in dungeons then the HV set is the way to go. Also it is currently broken and you can stack upwards of 50 stacks (sometimes more) on longer fights like Draco which means the fight lasts less than 3-4 minutes.

It's about far more than the stats. As tang56 said, it's the 4/4 set bonus. Enormous difference. Shadow Weaver is still a very good set, but there is no contest at all if the choice is HV full set vs. any mixed set.
