Dungeon queues?

Hello everyone, I'm somewhat new to the game, I have a lv 12 Rogue (used to have a lv 20 one but changed his race) I'm a bit curious why do dungeon queues take so long, is it like that for all dungeons? or just for the low level ones?
I hope I don't have to wait 30-40 mins for every dungeon I want to queue for.
I could enter a guild too, maybe that would make it easier, but unless I have others around my level, there's no much to do.

I've found it easier just to LFG in the LFG channel because like you, it takes me forever to get a Q pug group.

Ah, never thought of that, I usually have it hidden so avoide the constant LFG spam of endgame instances. Thanks, I'll try my luck with that.

It was bad when a lot of people played. Now less people play so it is worse. The only way I see it improving is if more people, especially tanks/clerics play.
edit to change pay to play... lol

The length of time it takes can also depend on your class/role. You, as a TR/DPS are in plentiful supply, thus it may take you longer to get to the front of the line in the queue. Now, if you were a DC or GF, where the supply is lower, you'd probably have shorter overall waits.

Yeah, but I guess that as most people, I hate playing tanks or clerics :(
I like quick agile classes, and neither of them can do much in that department...

That's why the ques continue to stay bad.. Too many flippin' dps compared to tanks especially. When I leveled my tank, I don't think i waited over 60 seconds for a dungeon que, EVER.. I ran them constantly and had a blast. Dps toons, I would que and out level most dungeons before the q would pop :p

You dont necessarily need to join a guild, just join or form a pug for the dungeon in lfg channel. To this day i still don't get why anyone would just randomly join a queue solo and expect anything good to come out of the experience. Q groups are an order of magnitude lower than pugs, which are themselves an order of magnitude lower than guild/friend groups.

For folks new to the game like the OP, it's understandable. Given how quickly one can level to 20, it wouldn't surprise me if a good percentage of folks new to the game aren't even aware of the LFG channel at that point. That aside, solo queue for low level dungeons like Cloak Tower and Cragmire Crypts is okay. Even five folks new to the game would practically have to try to wipe on those. But beyond those, I agree with you. Barring guild or running with friends, LFG is the way to go.

100% truth. I leveled a cleric for this reason alone..... too many people wanna pew pew (and badly too, I might say) as opposed to doing something meaningful or difficult.....
Quit begging, then I might help. Don't be afraid to work hard and you'll get what you want :D

I sat in queue with my DC for 2 hours last week. Also back to back DD events were active during that time. So I'd be hesitant to say it's because people don't play healers or tanks.

The change to BoP and players leaving I think might play a bigger part.
