So just hit 60 on my GWF got some gear off the AH and used some enchants I had saved up to and got myself a GS of about 9800 which not massive was pretty good I thought. So grab me daily quests and think let’s start with some PVP not my favourite part of the game but can be fun.

So I jump in to the first match and I feel like I’m not doing too bad I seem to be kind of holding my own for the most of the fight my side ends up losing but I really enjoyed my I felt I gave as good as I got for my first end game PVP match and then the scores come up and I’m shocked that I’m way at the bottom of the list and only get 250 glory for my efforts.

So queue up again and again I think I’m not doing too bad till the end of the match and again I’m right at the bottom and only get 250 glory. To cut a long story short end up finishing me daily with 1000 glory and 4k AD and feeling a bit meh about it all. Its wasn’t a case of the other players being more skilled than myself but rather a case of them being better geared at no point did I feel like I had any real effect with regards to the matches and actually feel that my presence was more of a burden to team that I was placed in.

It would be nice if they added some sort of ranking system to PVP so that new level 60 like myself don’t feel like we are being shoved through some meat grinder and actually have chance of making some decent returns for our time spent otherwise I may as well log on and just stand around my camp spawn site until I can afford the PVP gear which might help me actually have some sort of impact on the matches.

Really not sure why I’m posting this as I’m pretty sure I’m just going to get the standard L2P and your just Butt Hurt ****. But it would be nice if they implemented some sort of ranking system.

Try a DC in PVP then which is new to 60 and then rethink if you GWF was really doing so bad...

Did you check your score? Did you go just for kills or did you go to cap points? PvP is about capping points. If you don't do that, you hardly perform well, even if you can stand and kill some.

    ^^this.

Highest score in pvp was 7,800 in Domination. Of all my alts it was on my CW, who understandably is very scared of standing on cap points! Yet once you overcome your fear... BOOM!

I'm not really sure why you posted either. You have a gear score of 9800 and you feel like everyone else has higher GS. While this is possible, more then likely you were in the middle of all the people you played against. I have 3 level 60's all with their GS around that same pt and I'm not at the bottom of the list unless I am dying all the time (sometimes you wreck people, sometimes people wreck you).

As previous stated, cap those points. If you're not, then you are part of why you're team keeps losing and getting only 250 glory.

Then I guess we need more details about what the problem was/is. I mean other then that, most people want to see a ladder system based on GS like they did for char levels. I look at people on my team some times and I have seen new 60's with about 5500 GS in PVP and I have seen a GF with 16k GS (incidentally that ***** dropped group after dying in the first melee of the match).

As others have said or will say:
    - play the objective (caps are 300 points, kills on caps are 150 points)
    - kills are secondary (you can have a great K/D on a losing team)
    - don't chase targets (targets yelling for help on the ground or in between flags are neigh useless)
    - Gear Score matters (there are players with good GS who suck, but a good player with good GS will always been someone with lower)
    - GWF are bruisers, not tanks (be the bully: pick on rogues and CW's and other GWF's, leave the GF's and Clerics for the CW's/Rogues or when everything else is dead)
    - Don't die alone! (when you respawn, UNLESS your team holds position two and one solid, don't just run back out ... wait for a teammate to run with. It's easy to kill a solo GWF)
"Every adventurer has two things in common: they don't like dying, and they love getting paid. The rest is just semantics." Brecken, famed mercenary of Baldur's Gate

"D*mn wizards," said Morik the Rogue.

scoring is very easy in pvp but glory is only good for pots and salvage gear so it's better to just enjoy the game.

So i've been enjoying this game for about 2-3 weeks now. I love pvp and thought that this would be my main focus.. But when i hit about lvl 30, I thought it was about time to learn more about the game and how it all works.
I was shocked when i found out that all the pvp gear can be bought at the trader, and it cost nothing at all. What is there to work for then when i ding 60? I am now lvl 59, and if i'm correct there is no other pvp maps, no mass pvp, no open pvp or nothing else when i ding 60. I have all the gear even before i ding... i think.. not sure.. except gems.. this really is gamebreaking and i think I will leave very shortly after I ding.

if you want an mmo pvp game then this game is totally wrong. the pvp part is just an alibi, it has so many flaws that you can hardly take it serious. i see pvp in this game more as a parody - otherwise i could just smash my keyboard on the table every day i do my 4 fights to finish the daily.

That is right. It is very profitable though. PvP is only for farming AD, but it is the most boring way to farm. Me during PvP: tumblr_mrjewhR2cP1sfbtx7o1_400.gif

OP, remember also that getting no points doesn't mean you are doing bad in a match. Contest one point for a minute minute and gather 2-3 enemies on you. You don't cap or kill, so no points awarded, but you make your teammates' life a lot easier on capping the other two nodes.

If you are saying you have T1 PvP gear saved up, then you are very far from the best gear. Even T2 PvP gear is only BiS for a TR. You still need CN weapons (for most classes) jewelry/belt/shirt/pants etc. and yes enchants are huge, especially weapon/armor enchants. You still have a looooooong way to go, lol you'll see when you do a few 60 pvp matches in T1 pvp gear and R4-5 enchants.

PVP is only for those people with good gear to trash people. Or for certain class with max gear: Ten GF GWF, P. Vorpal TR they own PVP as it is.
I trash people with my cw all the time, but when facing a rogue with perfect vorpal i just pop, and hope my team players are better than the other.

How many TR's have P. Vorpal? How many GWF have 7 gtene? You are talking about the top 1% in terms of gear. Not to mention I play against people that have all that in guild vs guild matches and can still win without Tene's and P. enchants quite often.
