If my GF is at 24% with his Dex and ArPen Gear, will a Bronzewood be useless in PVE? Im having alot of trouble getting info on this and I honestly wouldnt know how to properly test other to buy one outright and bang away on a dummy on the preview shard. Anyone have any insight on this? Thanks in advance for anyone who tested this already.

Every Defense reduction are calculated after your ArPen. Mark give additional damage for example.
TESTED On LIVE with a Perfect Bronzewood it is an ARP enchant. So this means you gain (0%) bonus if you are ArP capped. It is a good enchant for players that lack ArP and worthless if you are already ArP capped.

This is not true. Certainly not for the ordinary Bronzewood or Greater Bronzewood enchant. Unless you mean to suggest anyone is not ArP capped against a Trade of Blades training dummy...

I'm running a perfect bronzewood ATM... I have a mitigation of 19% without it...
I used to have a prefect vorpal.. Through a dungeon with the bronzewood my dps is higher than with the vorpal.. And I was running 140% crit severity with 38% crit...
Idk the exact calculations but anyone running a prefect bronzewood knows its dps is probably the highest of any weapon enchants ATM

I just tested Perfect Terror and Perfect Brozewood against a Formorian Warrior. I have a capped ArPen. The Terror did approx. 10% more damage overall and the Bronzewood 16% (when enemy marked). So it looks like Bronzewood does indeed work in addition to a capped ArPen.

I've definitely seen an increase in DPS with it personally over my Perfect Lightning. Ran both on Ancient Castle Champion Greatswords and swapped them in and out running the same instance multiple times.
I know it says 16% Arm Reduction, but I believe it works like Student of the Swords/GPF Defense debuff, it increases Damage if ArmPen is already exceeded.

Good deal.

The question is now... When I started using perfect bronzewood I reduced my armor pen to around 18% from the cap I was at previously... Through stacking more recovery and unslotting dark enchants. Would it be worth stacking more armor pen again if it indeed does work in this way? I'm attempting to go full dps GWF.. So all the spare slots I have been stacking as much power as possible.. Sitting around 6850 ATM.. Would it be worth dropping 1 slot for the dark.. Would bring the mitigation around 20%

I was watching dmg with ACT it's reporting 108% with a standard bronzewood for my at will and encounters when the mark is active. I have 22.9% arp without camp fire. This was done on mobs in sharandar. I'm saving up for a perfect now as it's a hell of alot cheaper than a vorpal.

One of the main reasons I did this test was to see if i indeed could free up slots by using it. Now that it turns out to be a damage buff at full ArPen I will likely be leaving it as is. (24%)
Also, I believe it's always better to stack ArPen to the cap as it is basically a straight damage buff.
I was the first player who started playing perfect bronze... and i told everybody that the enchant is the BiS for GF since day 1... Bronzewood is sick, period.

And your even have a guide for GF now I understand why people say this forum is full of ****...

LOL I love it when ppl think they are "the first" to do something :P But yes Bronzewood was made for GF!
I was in a match against a GWF and when I was "marked" it SEEMED like there was some graphic effect that kept "hitting me" coming from his character to mine. I dont know if he was using briar and it was a damage reflect off one of my DoTs but I was curious if the Bronzewood mark acts in this way?
It showed me taking damage of either 1 or 0 I honestly cant remember.
The main reason I ask is, is this something that can proc tene enchants? Or is the "mark" a one time activation debuff therefore it wont help tene enchants.
Right now GPF (eventhough bugged) Is BiS for Tene users because of that DoT.

It's just the "green leaves" graphics animation from Bronzewood. It happens even without procing the debuff. I love the look of it, personally!
And no, it cannot proc Tenes since the mark is just a one-off debuff with no DoT, stacking or additional hits.

and also the featured satirical comedic adventure "A Call for Heroes".

There is no relationship between GF Marks and Bronzewood's. Mark in the enchant's sense is just a shorter word for "debuff".
I see, thanks for the clarification! Would have been way OP otherwise.

Why should it be? All other classes can use it too. It's more the BiS for CW, because of their AoEs.
