Dungeon delve times & daily dungeons

The current situation with dungeon delve times is bad in my opinion. It is always the same time slot, in my timezone that means I have to run that dungeon after work at around 10-11 pm although I'd like to do it much earlier because if you have a hard dungeon and some wipes this takes a very long time. People that need to work the next day just can't play the whole night.

I'd like to have some kind of dungeon delve daily feature or something similar. Grab a quest and the next dungeon where you beat the final boss will show the chest at the end for you. So like with other dailies it would be up to you when you run a dungeon to grab the chest. Also at the moment the dungeon delve times lead to the problem, that outside those times you queue for an hour to do a dungeon and the lfg chat suddenly begins to be active at dungeon delve times and queue times are shorter then, too.

Additonally what bugs me as a lvl60 is the fact that the daily dungeon is ALWAYS Dread Vault! I hate this dungeon, hitting 20 minutes on the last boss that just sits in middle is so boring. Why can't lvl60 ppl have the chance to do ANY epic dungeon as a daily quest. That might bring more people doing lower dungeons as well and for that low amount of ADs it really doesn't matter anyway if you run a dungeon that is finished in 30 or 60 minutes but it will bring more diversity into daily gameplay. I only do the daily Dread Vault when also it is a Protector's daily so I can earn double AD. Other than that I just ignore this daily event.

Also this mechanic of specific dailies like Dread Vault always has this "either or" decision. Do I run an epic dungeon to have a chance to get a drop or do I run Dread Vault for the AD, especially because this dungeon pops quite fast? If you could run ANY epic dungeon for the daily you could combine both and would not feel that you missed something or won't have the feeling that you have to spend more time grinding.

So in my vision I would pick the daily Dungeon delve quest and the daily epic dungeon quest and then choose the dungeon I like to play this day in the evening and just have some fun. At the end if we would be successful I would get the chest and some ADs.

    Yes, the times are inconvenient for me too. Always when I'm online, that Delzoun Crypts and Iron Tabernacle stuff is running, which I don't do. I always have to stay on hours longer than is convenient or come back at inconvenient times in order to get in a DD.

    Or they could just remove the need to do DD to open the chest. Possibly keeping seals in the chest only at DD or something so that it makes it more appealing to do it at those times so that it's easier to queue when DD is up. It's kind of silly not being able to get your chest item unless DD is up, it means that people have little reason to participate unless DD is up which is worse for those that don't have the time. I've seen some people ask to do Malabog's when DD wasn't up any time soon which confuses me since all of the bosses drop blues like 95% of the time so the chest is the one that can reliably drop anything remotely of value.

    Yeah pretty much the same with me the only viable option for me to do a DD would be on a Friday or Saturday. The DD system is a terrible system.

    Not to argue for it, but to point out some facts:

    Devs didn't know how popular this game would be. So most things, like PvP and DD's, are on gated queue's and are also given daily rewards to encourage participation. This means that when DD is up, your actually more likely to get a group, simply because a lot of players are waiting for DD to be up. Going into the queue before DD is up can often mean waiting in the queue for hours before finding a group.

    In short, it ensures enough players are in the pool waiting to run the event, instead of spread out and nobody ever getting a group on time.

    They could add a key system, much as the Sharandar solo dungeons do. Earn or buy a key, unlock the dd loot chest. They could also rotate DD times, give or take an hour in each direction depending on the day.

    But the DD event is actually helping, I think. They don't need it for Arena PvP, which you can queue up for all hours of the day and night without problem. But for dungeons, it's more necessary I feel.

    This. Just make it any epic dungeon.

    Absolutely this. Even with double AD events I had trouble getting in the queue.

    The DD event as such is good stuff.
    But is lacking/annoying for most normal people. =(

    lobo's suggestion about 1 key pr day, (or even buyable one).

    Adding this, giving all players 1 run pr day non'dependant on time, to earn Bound equipment would be great for the new player who's still equipping himself and who doesn't have neverending playtime ;)

    But if it's doable for the current Dungeons?
    Adding a key that triggers a (DD open chest event?)..
    shouldn't be overly hard, but then again, simplest things can be strangely hard in programming =)

    *sidenote:
    Even with something like a "key" that gives you access to the chest, it's giving you a bound random item. that can only be exchanged into Rough Astral Diamonds, so exploits will hardly be a problem there.
    even with a small fee of ... ? 10-20 zen pr key? 5k-10k'ish AD value when it's low exchange rate...
    and pricing the T1 and T2 runs can be seperate values? *just adding random thoughts now*
    I think allot of new players, /extra toons who are still equipping, and with the new BoP It's allot more work for a first character to get epic equipment than it used to be, since you could normally buy the leftover set items from AH at moderate price. (For those who have been playing a while, this isn't an issue I guess)

    Also it might result in a nice boost in the Zen store ;)
    overprice will only result in annoyance =) but I guess that doesnt matter so far lol.
    *A note to consider, it might result in a dead DD event if you can buy the key's when you want to do runs... =( so backfire there. (maybe just 1x BoP-key pr day should be a better thought? or even be able to buy it with Ardent coins??!! (best idea so far) *

    As with the Dungeon Event.. only Dread Vault lol! silly stuff..
    (stopped doing it after only 2 or 3 times) not worth the bother.
