It's very disappointing that you and your party members spent lots of time and tried hard to beat down all mobs and the final boss in a Dungeon Delve only to find that the end chest cannot be opened.
Everyone has a different schedule in real life. It's not always likely that when we have time to do a Dungeon Delve and the event is on. There have been many times that I logged into the game and found that the event wouldn't be on in the next 6 hours.
The Dungeon Delve event really needs to be revised or abolished.

I'm also wondering why they can't publish the times out a lot further than currently. At least that way we can put reminders on for days in advance and plan accordingly!!!

agreed, should be a 2 piece reward given that it's bop, i've done 3 dungeons between yday and today, once i got disconnected and lost the event, the other one i got a piece of HAMSTER belt that i salvaged for the insane amount of 3k rough ad, the other one i got another crappy belt that gave me, what? yeah! 3k rough AD!!
it ain't worth the time spent, I've done Frozen heart, for example, non less than 15 times and not once i've gotten a decen t2 drop from the chest, the drake seals are useless, can't even profit from the rat thing, this is so messed up, in two weeks the gameplay dropped to the floor.
Edit: Another run! i got one more belt! yay...

If I understand you right, it's either you get it too or let the others NOT get it either.
I also think that these event timers need to be changed. Preview server is the place to try it. I would like the delve chest to be a daily unlock for each character. I would like the foundry to have a recurring weekend long event that gives more xp and better loot. The skirmish event is useless, just give AD, no need for timer. Add a random call to arms alarm during the day, this would make sure the skirmish queue is full. The professions timer seems to help the botters more than anything. And each stage of gauntlygrym should be running concurrently 24/7, put a player cap on each instance and allow players to join instances midgame. Some like PvP and some like pve, Some don't want to do both. Make the gauntlygrym dungeon playable at any time of the day, requiring a key to unlock from either of the two grym zones.
But ah yes, the delve... So many people are leaving this game with the complaint that there is nothing to do but sit around in PE waiting for the delve. The timers worked well in theory, but in practice they severely limit the actions of your players and there are many more ways to ensure that a large number of players do the same thing at the same time.
P.S. please have festivals available every day of the year.
I believe the dungeon delve in its current form needs to be scrapped completely.
What would work better is if it was on a player by player basis. Players get a token 1 per day for a 'Delve' equivilent. They can spend it to turn a dungeon into a Delve event for themselves. Acts like a Fey Key but if they don't spend their token, they don't get any more until they spend it. So a player who is dungeoneering every day potentially gets 7 delves a week and has something worth logging on for at a time that suits their own real life schedule.
The current system promotes poor behaviour and is counter productive to the community.
Roo. Cleric. Mad as a bag of badgers, will heal for beer.
Are you suggesting the delve be one chest per account per day? I would at least like the number of account tokens to equal the number of classes, that way I could gear all my characters.
Perhaps a different dungeon should be featured Monday thru Friday, with an additional one time AD bonus given upon completion, this would ensure a full and rapid queue. Weekends should feature double plus bonuses for all dungeons.

Delve schedule is very predictable. Based on server time, it happens every 6 hours. Then, at midnight, it shifts ahead 2 hours (from 1am to 3am, for example, and keeps going every 6 hours.

I wish they would trash the whole time based events system and make them twice daily quests instead. Get group -> get quest -> off you go. A lot of people have busy lives and cant get on when these 1 hour events are staged.

This is a very useful answer to this post, I would dearly like a bit more detail though.
The problem: I want my guild to be able to do more dungeons but for obvious reasons people want to start their dungeons during a Delve period to take advantage of the current loot arrangements.
The temporary solution: how does the +6 hours then ++2 hours at midnight work in practice (see quoted post).
The professional solution: the calendar has an option which enables an overlay of the predicted pattern of the various event types out at least 7 days, ideally 14.

It is a weekly schedule. So every Monday the events are at the same time. For the Eastern timezone that means:
Monday: 6/12
Tuesday: 8/2
Wednesday: 4/10
Thursday: 5/11
Friday: 6/12
Saturday: 8/2
Sunday: 4/10
Due to the way the schedule works on Wednesday morning and Sunday Morning, delves repeat themselves at 2am and 4am.
Note that since this topic was created they have said they are working on modifying dungeon delves, but they haven't said how.
